My chart welcomes 2019 with a new No. 1 song. Hozier gets his second chart-topper with "Movement", the 56th No. 1 ever on the chart. Gallant's "TOOGOODBETRUE" is blocked at No. 2 and might have a few more weeks to make a play for the top but some songs further down the chart have serious momentum and could crash the top 2 part very soon.
Anderson .Paak registers his seventh top 10 placement with "Cheers" (featuring Q-Tip). He's charted 10 total times. This is the first top 10 for Q-Tip from his first chart appearance. Saba and theMIND are also new to the top 10 from their first chart entry.
Four songs debut this week and they all have tons of momentum going into the coming weeks. Meg Myers, Silk City and Death Cab for Cutie are all on the chart for the first time with "Numb", "Electricity" and "Northern Lights". Dua Lipa, who is featured on "Electricity" increases her charting song count to four. Charlie Puth, whose Voicenotes album I've been getting back into, nets a third career chart debut with "The Way I Am".
