The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

After missing out on last week’s number 1, Dermot Kennedy climbs up one spot to take the pole position with “Innocence & Sadness” knocking off Mimi Webb from the top spot. Dermot now gains his 3rd number 1 on my chart.

On the album front, there was a big battle all week between The 1975 & Tove Lo. In the end, The 1975 were denied another no.1 album with Tove Lo creeping above to take the top spot with her first no.1 album on my chart.

Longest chart runners:

  1. Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (20 consecutive weeks)
  2. MUNA - What I want (17 consecutive weeks)

Next week, Taylor Swift returns with her hugely anticipated new album “Midnights”. If it’s anything like “Folklore” or “Evermore”, then expect multiple album tracks breaking the top 40 and surely another no.1 album. Carly Rae Jepsen is also back with a new album and has had several of her album tracks already chart my top 40. Meghan Trainor also chooses this week to release her new LP.

With regards to new singles, look out for new songs from Sigrid, First Aid Kit, Ellie Goulding, Joel Corry & Tom Grennan & a collaboration between Clean Bandit & Elley Duhe.

Interesting to see Dermot Kennedy climb to the top spot.

Lizzo enters the top 3 it must be definitely growing on you I see heavily growing on you . Unholy maintains being in the top 5 interesting there too . Like seeing Tove Lo dominance with some tracks from the album sadly she couldn't grab the top spot on the albums chart.  Like seeing Kiss Me returning to the 10 . I noticed 20 weeks for Kate Bush inside top 20 the song of the year for you. Under the influence keep it steady at #10

Super Freaky Girl earns a new peak but slowly i guess the rap flow and the beat makes it nice.

Bad habit keeps on pushing in its 2nd week. Calm Down does the same too

Cuff It finally debut wow you in the mood to fuck it up i love that song .

Anne-Marie Psycho on the edge to leave the chart as well as Deja Vu

Hey mate, yes loving Lizzo's track but she's now facing Taylor Swift so wondering if she may have peaked at no.3 but stil too early to tell. Tove Lo did get the number 1 album, in doing so, she prevented The 1975 from getting another no.1 album (they pretty much have always had a number 1 album with me but I feel their music style is changing a little and Tove Lo's album surprised me how good it was).Yes, 20 weeks in the top 10 for Kate Bush that might be threatened on the next chart with Taylor Swift's release. I initially did not like Super Freaky Girl as I just thought it was just a lame cover but now I find it so catchyespecially the end of the chorus - F..R...EEEEE...AK!  Yes, Bad habit and Calm down are slow gainers, and Cuff it finally entered the chart. I don't think Beyonce planned on releasing that as a single, with no video yet out either. Im guessing Alien Superstar might not become a single at this rate.. Anne Marie's Psycho took a while to grow on me, but her and Elaine may struggle to stay in the chart again due to Taylor Swift...
