The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

Chvrches grab their fourth no.1 on my chart in this year alone with their excellent cover of "Cry Little Sister" which just edged out Foxes into no.2 with her new catchy single "Sister Ray". It is also a double no.1 for Chvrches who now remain at no.1 on the album charts for a 4th consecutive week. Lil Nas X was the highest new entry on the album chart at no.9.

Its quiet week next week so there is a potential for a lot of movers on the singles chart, but there could be new entries from Clean Bandit/Whitney Houston & J.Cole. On the album front, look out for Alessia Cara and potentially an impact from Natalie Imbruglia.

Wooaah i see a lot of movements good to see you CHVRCHES atop both albums and singles,,they seem to be stuck on your playlist its incredible you giving them the support they deserve. I like seeing entries like Altar, Wildest Dreams .Breakdown i never had a chance to listen to it and Altar i did i need more time interesting she's teasing new album. Sad to see Have Mercy dropping down already. I didn't expect longevity of Wild Side. Normani is already teasing another single probably will get it this year and hope the album early 2022/late 2021. That Summer Walker collaboration with Sam Smith how did i miss it im sure it's good. Hope you are doing great

Hey Brandon, thanks for the comment and im good thanks. Hope you are too. Yeah I really like their upbeat synth type dance music with interesting lyrics. Their current no.1 is a cover of an old song which I love. I had a feeling that you would like the new Kehlani song, it grows on you, especially the chorus. "Breakdown" mainly did well because of Demi's collab but G-Eazy does occasionally release some good songs. I am a bit surprised that "wild side" didnt do well on the official US and UK charts, its done reasonably well on my chart and still peaked at no.2 for 2 weeks in a row (obviously cant beat the mammoth no.1 succession on your chart). It just seems that shes going to have a long gap again before her next record, not sure if its her choice or her record label. The Sam Smith/ Summer Walker collab is a ballad and not really in the style of her music you would normally listen to, part of a soundtrack from a new movie. On my next chart, you might be happy to see the return on an old school RnB artist....

Yes Wild side didn't do well in uk but in us it's still doing well fairly for a rnb song because it hasn't left top 100 which is incredible soon a gold certified she mentioned that wild side was for her fans she said she knew the reaction before the release .it's still among the top 5 rnb songs in the US .It's too early for comparison she said im doing what makes her happy.
