Bulgaria's Hottest 10 Singles (W/E 28/11/2019)

This is an unofficial chart, compiled by me, highlighting the 10 biggest tracks in Bulgaria right now. Due to the lack of an official Bulgarian singles chart, apart from an airplay only one, this is the closest thing we can get to a true representation of the musical landscape in the country. The data is based on Spotify/Apple Music streams, YouTube views, and airplay data, all coming from official sources.

Highlights of the week:

  • In an extremely close battle for the top spot, 'Dance Monkey' by Tones and I manages to hold out for a third week at #1, in large due to consistently increasing airplay gains across Bulgarian radio and TV.
  • Meanwhile, Billie Eilish's brand new single, 'everything i wanted', debuts at #2, despite being the most-streamed track of the week - it boasts just short of 100,000 audio and video streams across all platforms. It's Billie's 8th top 40 single this year, and 4th top 3 single - her breakout hit, 'bad guy', entering straight at #1 this year, and still holding ground in the top 40, as it stands at #34 this week.
  • Dua Lipa remains at #4 with 'Don't Start Now', while Travis Scott and Preslava & Galin fall 2-3 with 'HIGHEST IN THE ROOM'; and 3-5 with 'Така ни се пада' (That's what we get), respectively.
  • Two brand new entries from Bulgarian acts hit the top 10 this week - Malkata, previously known under stage name Vanesa, makes her top 40 debut with rising star Denis Teofikov, as 'Полудяваш' (You're going crazy) manages to come in at #6, despite a Monday release. One spot lower, pop diva DARA enters with her new single 'Ella Ella', becoming her 2nd top 10 hit of the year and 4th overall. Earlier this year, she managed to reach #5 with her much-anticipated release 'Darbie'.
  • Riding high on his brand new collab, Denis Teofikov falls 5-8 with 'Катастрофа' (Catastrophe); and at #9, newcomers Torino, Pashata & Pepi make a top 10 debut with their reggaeton-inspired viral hit 'Te Amo', jumping up 21 places after debuting at #30 last week.
  • Rounding off the top 10 is Selena Gomez, losing four places and landing at #10 with 'Lose You To Love Me'.
