Bulgaria's Hottest 10 Singles (W/E 30/01/2020)

This is an unofficial chart, compiled by me, highlighting the 10 biggest tracks in Bulgaria right now. Due to the lack of an official Bulgarian singles chart, apart from an airplay only one, this is the closest thing we can get to a true representation of the musical landscape in the country. The data is based on Spotify/Apple Music streams, YouTube views, and airplay data, all coming from official sources.

Highlights of the week:

• Eminem claims his 5th No. 1 single in the history of the Bulgarian charts, as 'Godzilla', featuring the late Juice WRLD, debuts straight at the top this week. A cut from the rapper's brand new album, 'Music to Be Murdered By', which was released without any prior announcement, and has gone straight to No. 1 on the albums chart as well. In fact, the entirety of the record makes an appearance in this week's top 100 singles chart.
• That means, however, that Roddy Ricch is currently blocked from getting his first chart-topping single, and only rises 4-2 with 'The Box'. Last week's No. 2, Future and Drake's 'Life Is Good' dips 2-3.
• After ten non-consecutive weeks at No.1, 'Dance Monkey' is dethroned from the top, falling 1-4. This marks the biggest drop from No. 1 for a single since 2019's 'Твой' by Papi Hans fell 1-6 after three weeks at the top.
• SAINt JHN's 'Roses', gone viral thanks to a house remix by producer Imanbek, spends its fifth week in the top 10, rebounding 6-5, swapping places with Travis Scott's 'HIGHEST IN THE ROOM', which reverses 5-6.
• Another cut from Eminem's latest album release, 'Those Kinda Nights' is yet unable to replicate the success of the two's last team-up, 'River', which spent a week at No. 1 back in 2018, but it's off to a promising start nonetheless, debuting at No. 7.
• The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights' finally overtakes 'Heartless', as the former rises 11-8; while the latter falls 10-21. Dua Lipa's 'Don't Start Now' is the most-played song on Bulgarian radio for a second week in a row, as it dips 7-9 on the singles chart.
• Rounding off the top 10 is Tyga's viral hit 'Ayy Macarena', which slips 8-10, after peaking at No. 6 earlier this month.
