Chart

Chart 1.7.22

This week, Taylor Swift gets herself a 5th #1 single on the chart! 'Carolina', from the upcoming movie "Where The Crawdad's Sing" debuts at the top, giving Taylor a 4th #1 of the year! But the main highlight of this week is the huge amount of new and re-entries! On Friday, I was at Wembley for Ed Sheeran's concert! Honestly, I was there for Maisie as she is one of my favourite artists ever, but Ed was absolutely brilliant, and I even got to see Dylan too! The impact from the concert has been huge, and it has caused a huge 23 songs to enter/ re-enter! Maisie Peters climbs to the runner-up spot with 'Cate's Brother', Tate McRae slips to #3 with 'what would you do?' and Dylan gets a new career peak! Her 2021 single 'You're Not Harry Styles' reached #8 in the first week of 2022, and today it re-enters at #4! She also claims a further 3 spots in the chart! Kate Bush slips 4 to #5 with last week's #1 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)'.

Tate's 'you're so cool' is at #6, Ed climbs 12 with 2step to a new peak of #7, giving him a 7th Top 10, and a 6th Top 10 from '='. Rina & Demi both drop at #8 and #9, and Ed re-enters the Top 10 with 'Shivers'. It is his longest running track on chart, and Shivers today becomes the 5th longest running song on chart ever! Maisie's #1 hit 'Psycho and #2 hit 'I'm Trying (Not Friends)' both re-enter the top 15, whilst Dylan claims #15 and #16 with new entries 'Someone Else' and 'No Romeo'! Maisie has further re-entries at #17 with 'Villain', #19 with 'Favourite Ex', #20 with 'Volcano', #29 with 'John Hughes Movie', #30 with 'Worst Of You', #40 with 'Love Him I Don't', #42 with 'You Signed Up For This' and #46 with 'Brooklyn'.

Ed Sheeran claims new entries at #32, #38, #39, #41 and #49 with 'Bloodstream', 'Galway Girl', 'Don't', 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You', and 'Shape Of You' respectively, whilst 'Overpass Graffiti, 'Tides' and 'Bad Habits' re-enter at #33, #45 and #49. Dylan's 4th entry is 'Nineteen' at #44. Aside from Ed, Maisie & Dylan, there are 3 other new entries. Taylor at #1, Rina Sawayama's 'Catch Me In The Air' at #48 and Lily Allen's political classic 'Fuck You' at #25. It enters after Olivia Rodrigo & Lily performed it at Glastonbury aimed at a group of stupid old people who passed a bulls*it law controlling (wrongfully) the rights of women's bodies in America!

Hey Conor! :)

Glad you had a nice time at the concert! It's incredible to see it impact over half the chart here, with Maisie, Ed & Dylan all having a massive impact.

Taylor getting her fifth #1 single thanks to 'Carolina' has to be my personal highlight of the week though!

Incredible chart from you yet again.

Have a good weekend!

Hey Piran!
Thanks, the concert was brilliant! The impact will drastically fade next week, but yeah it did cause a massive impact for them! Carolina will probably only spend a week at the top, but shouldn't fall too far! Glad you like its a t #1!
Have a nice weekend!

Hi Conor!
Nice to see "Carolina" at the top, as well as seeing lots of Maisie and Ed being on the chart.
Great chart!

Hey Conor!

Wow, Maisie returning to the chart with some sort of hurricane comeback!

Happy that Tate McRae is still hold strong, unfortunately there is tough competition in my chart at the moment so she has been falling.

Great #1 debut from Taylor Swift, song is such a grower! I hope Rina rises with "Catch Me In the Air"

Brilliant chart!

Hey Flamingo!
The Maisie bomb was due to me seeing her live as a support act on Ed Sheeran's tour!
I'm glad you like Tate holding on, shame she's falling on your chart!

Glad you also like Taylor's #1, and Rina is set to climb! Thanks for commenting!
