Chart

Billboard Hot 40

This week, Post Malone's new single "Circles" debuts at the top of the chart, granting the rapper/singer his sixth number one after "Psycho", "Better Now", "Sunflwoer", "Wow.", and "Goodbyes". Aided by the release of its accompanying music video halfway through the week, "Circles" debuts with robust streaming numbers, an early interest in radio airplay, and a strong showing on digital sales. In the coming week, "Circles" looks to maintain its lead on the chart, barring any strong new release, due to the release of Post Malone's new album, Hollywood Bleeding. The release of the album should bolster the streaming numbers for "Circles" aided with a continued increase in radio airpaly and more digital sales. Back to this week, Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" slips to number two after a sole week at number one. Nonetheless, "Truth Hurts" stills gain in chart points due to a steady showing in streaming and an increase in radio airplay. At number three, "Senorita" by Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello falls down one spot after a three week, nonconsecutive stint at the top spot. "Senorita" takes over as the most heard song on the radio as it moves into the number one spot and maintains a strong showing at streaming. "Senorita" is easily on the way to become the biggest hit for both Mendes and Cabello. For Mendes, this week "Senorita" outpaces "If I Can't Have You" for his biggest hit and for Cabello, "Senorita" outpaces "Havana". Even though both were number one hits, "Senorita" has had a more lengthy time at the top of the chart. "Bad Guy" by Billie Elish falls down one spot to number four in its twenty-third week. "Bad Guy" continues with an uncanny, lengthy time at the top of the chart, but does not look to move up the charts anymore due to a continued decrease in points. Lil Tecca's "Ransom" hikes up two spots and hits the top five for the first time, aided by the debut of his first mixtape We Love You Tecca. Currently, "Ransom" receives most of its points predominately from streaming numbers as it sits directly under "Circles"; however, its radio support has just begun. At number six, "No Guidance" by Chris Brown featuring Drake falls down one spot from its peak position of number five. For more Post Malone, his previous number one "Goodbyes", featuring Young Thug, hikes up two spots to number seven as its radio support increases and streaming numbers stabilize. "Goodbyes" should also increase in next week due to the album release. Likewise, previous number one singles by Post Malone, "Wow." and "Sunflower" might return to the charts if the album propels them back into the top twenty of the chart. At number eight, Khalid's "Talk" drops two spots after leading the chart for a singular week when it lead radio airplay. Khalid continues his chart staple of longevity as "Talk" stays in the top ten in its thirtieth week on the chart. Khalid shares the record for the song with the longest run on the chart as "Eastside" with benny blanco and Halsey with forty-six weeks on the chart. Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's "I Don't Care" ticks up one spot to number nine after it led the overall chart seventeen weeks ago and the radio charts last week. The juggernaut of "Old Town Road" tumbles down two spots to number ten after becoming the most dominant song in history of the chart. Running down the rest of the chart, "Lover" by Taylor Swift, the next single off Taylor Swift's new album, tumbles seven spots to number eleven after lurching from number nineteen to four the previous week. Lewis Capaldi's "Someone You Loved" jumps three spots to number twelve and looks to lift into the top ten in the coming weeks. Polo G and Lil Tjay's "Pop Out" moves up one spot to a new peak of number thirteen while Ariana Grande and Social House's previous number one moves up two spots to fourteen after falling down the charts the last four weeks. Shawn Mendes' previously mentioned "If I Can't Have You" tumbles three spots to number fifteen as its radio support has been shifted more towards "Senorita" and looks to continue falling down the chart. Among other highlights, Lil Nas X's next single "Panini" lifts two spots to number twenty-one, aided by one day of tracking of its new music video. Sam Smith's "How Do You Sleep?" lifts two spots to number twenty two, "Baby" by Quality Control and Lil Baby featuring DaBaby ticks one spot to a new peak of twenty-five while Saweetie's "My Type" also reaches a new peak of twenty-six."Motivation" by Normani reverses course and moves back up three spots to number twenty-nine, Megan Thee Stallion featuring DaBaby's "Cash Sh*t" lifts three spots to hit the top thirty for the first time, while "Trampoline" by SHAED hurls four spots to number thirty-one. Likewise, as the Jonas Brother's number one hit, "Sucker" drops off the charts after a twenty-six week run, the next single "Only Human" moves up three spots to a number peak of thirty-four. Lizzo's second surprise old hit "Good As Hell" debuts at number thirty seven while Wale and Jeremih's "On Chill" debuts at number forty as well. Cardi B's "Press" narrowly avoids falling off the chart as it moves up one spot to number thirty-eight. If Cardi B cannot debut a new song and "Press" falls off the chart, she will lose her record of being present in all weeks of the chart and give the title to Post Malone.
