Chart

Billboard Hot 40

This week's chart is heavily dominated by Post Malone as he becomes the first artist to capitalize on the entire top three of the chart. Malone's own "Circles", which debuted at number one last week, repeats for its second continuous week at number one. Directly underneath "Circles" is Post Malone featuring Young Thug with "Goodbyes", which also debuted at number one ten weeks ago and has yet to leave the top ten. "Goodbyes" dashes up five spots to number, but does not look to repeak at number one as Post Malone's label has moved to focus on pushing "Circles". At number three, Post Malone's new song featuring Travis Scott and Ozzy Osbourne "Take What You Want" debuts off solely streaming numbers as it is not an official single. "Take What You Want" is the first chart entry for Ozzy Osbourne and debuts right in the top five. The previous best was having a song ranked at both number one and two and as been done by Drake when "Nonstop" debuted at number one and joined "Nice For What" at number two, Cardi B (featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin) moved into the top spot and was joined by Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B with "Girls Like You", and then Ariana Grande's "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored" debuted at number one and accompanied her own "7 Rings". After one week at number one, Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" steps down two spots to number four, but still increases in overall points due to a continued push in radio and steady streaming numbers. Likewise, "Senorita" by Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello tumbles two spots to number five. After hitting the top five for the first time last week, Lil Tecca's "Ransom" falls one spot to number six; however, its fall is overlapsed by Billie Eilish's "bad guy" which falls three spots to number seven. "bad guy" wraps up an unprecedent fifteen week run solely in the top five after re-entering the region last May, repeaking at number one for two weeks between July and August, and then slowly falling back down the charts. Continuing down the chart, Chris Brown featuring Drake's "No Guidance" tumbles two spots to number eight after hitting number five while Khalid's one week leader "Talk" falls one spot to number nine. Entering the top ten at number ten is Lewis Capaldi's "Someone You Loved", which has crossed over from overseas as it hit the top spot in the UK months ago. Capaldi's chart run is uncommon in the streaming area as the charts have not seen a piano ballad doing so well on the charts. "Someone You Loved" looks to continue its increases in the future as it has a lot of room to grow in both streaming and radio. Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's "I Don't Care" falls out of the top ten for the first time in its chart history after it debuted at number one eighteen weeks ago. Likewise, Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus wraps up its top ten stay after becoming the most dominant hit in chart history.
