7 debuts!!
Notes:
- Cam is still the captain of the ship, as "Mayday" takes its 13th week atop the chart. This is far and away from the rest of the competition and nothing should come close to it until in a few weeks. This should make it past 15 weeks, which would give Cam the Pulse lead for most weeks at #1. Despite "Mayday"'s continued solid showing, Cam finds herself losing everywhere else. "Burning House" (10-12) falls out of the Top 10, "My Mistake" (12-13) takes a small drop, and "Cold In California" goes recurrent this week. "Burning House" should slowly make its way off the chart, and probably to it falling below #51 rather than 5+ position drops. "My Mistake" is also looking to enter the Top 10 soon. Whenever Cam announces her next single from Untamed, it could be do or die for the song, since it is one option for the next single, but it might not get picked since it was previously released. Also, despite going recurrent, if "Cold In California" gets picked (more than likely won't), it can find itself being lifted back from recurrency and make its way back to the chart.
- twenty one pilots enter the Top 10 this week with "Ride", going 11-10. This ties the record that "Beautiful Drug" set a few months ago, taking 27 weeks to make the Top 10. This has the opportunity to keep moving up with songs above it being a bit weak at the moment, but this might actually get passed up by a few songs very soon. It can probably peak at #8 or #9 and not much further at this point.
- Skillet has themselves a nice week, as "Stars" just continues to blast up the charts, as it goes 25-18 for a new peak. This is looking for the Top 10 very soon, likely in two weeks. This should turn into a big hit for them. "Feel Invincible" also has its first big week, as it blasts 43-34 for a new peak. This one has been overshadowed by "Stars", but this week it was able to shine along with it to turn up a big number.
- "Without You" climbs into the Top 40 this week, going up 41-40 for a new peak. This one has spent most of its time in the 40s, as it had a fast start but slowed down pretty quickly. This is more benefitting from songs above it falling, but it's still kicking. A mid-30s peak is likely its destination.
- As "MAD AT YOU" (32-42) faceplants off the chart, 3OH!3 is setting themselves up with two new singles. "HEAR ME NOW" (27-25) is continuing its trek towards the Top 10, while "FREAK YOUR MIND" is surprisingly sticking to the chart. It looked like a future hit after "HEAR ME NOW" would finish up, but it's holding its own now, as it moves into the Top 50 this week, going 51-46 for a new peak. These two should be able to chart concurrently. "INSIDE BOY" falls off the chart this week after peaking at #55, but it should re-enter in the future, as that is the choice I will probably go with for the next single following these two. It'll probably stick in my playlist, so they actually might be able to have three songs climb at once potentially.
- "End of the World" spends its 52nd week on the chart this week. This has had a great run for Dirty Heads, but this should be its last week on the chart. This has more stuck around because I knew it was so close to a full year, I decided to just leave it rather than sending it recurrent a few weeks shy of the magic number.
- ROZES is looking at her breakthrough hit with "Hangin' On", as it blasts 59-47 for a new peak. This already surpasses "Roses" #51 peak, and it is looking to trump that. This could eventually become a Top 10 hit for her, but it should take its time getting there. It might have a fast rise for a bit, but it shouldn't last long.
- Bad Suns make their way back onto the chart this week with the lead single to their upcoming record, "Disappear Here" at #53. This is looking like a big hit for them, and it should blast up the charts. Their debut album brought them 3 singles, "Salt" at #4, "Dancing on Quicksand" at #5, and "We Move Like the Ocean" at #24.
- EDEN makes his chart debut this week with "sex" coming at #57. This actually wasn't looking to debut this week, but it put up huge numbers in the latter half of the week. I'm absolutely loving this right now, and I think this is poised for a gigantic jump next week. This could be a potential #1 in the makings.
- "M.I.L.F. $" debuts at #59 this week. This had a very hot start to the week, and was actually looking like a potential Top 40 debut, but slowed down later in the week. This still looks to be a decent hit for Fergie, who is actually making her chart debut, but this has a very big chance at being a high burner. Time will tell how this can actually do.
- Serena Ryder also makes her chart debut this week, as "Got Your Number" debuts at #60. This was released two weeks ago in Canada, but was delayed a week in the US, and it actually hurt it. If it didn't have to line up with the three debuts above it, this could have had a very big debut. Nonetheless, this shouldn't be hurt in the long run because I absolutely love this, and I think it can be a big hit for Serena. I've seen her live before, but this is actually the first time I've really paid attention to her. She'll be getting her dues paid with this one.
- Shaman's Harvest debuts two songs from Smokin' Hearts & Broken Guns this week, as "Dirty Diana" and "Here It Comes" debut at #63 and #65 respectively. "In Chains" (#18) fell off the chart not too long ago, so there following up pretty quickly for a new band on the chart. "Here It Comes" is their current single, as "Dirty Diana" was the single before "In Chains" though I didn't listen to it until I checked out the album, so I'll try to put the bigger focus on "Here It Comes". With that said, I think both could chart together, so focus might not be an issue here. If "Dirty Diana" had been the current single, it could have gone Top 10, but "Here It Comes" will probably peak lower than "In Chains" did.
- Cheat Codes actually hurt their own song, as they score the final debut at #70 this with the Kevin Lyttle remake, "Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)". "Sex" (#61) was poised for a big week, but this got in the way. I still think "Sex" should become a big hit, as this might just last this week, but right now it's a bit too smoky to tell.
