After a fourteen-week-long climb, Dermot Kennedy lands his first Number 1 with “Better Days”

After a fourteen-week-long and steady climb, Dermot Kennedy his “Better Days” finally takes over the coveted Number 1-position. It becomes the Irish singer his first ever Number 1-hit on my personal chart, surpassing his previous efforts “Paradise” [#9] and “Power Over Me” [#10]. Dermot Kennedy is the tenth Irish act to peak at Number 1 on my list, joining B*Witched, Niall Horan, Ronan Keating and Samantha Mumba amongst others. “Better Days” does face strong competition from Rex Orange County’s newest single “Keep It Up”, which moves up to second place this week, aided by increasing streaming figures.

Meanwhile, Stromae moves into the Top 5 with “L’Enfer” – earning the Belgian singer his best-charting single since “Formidable” peaked at #2 in 2013. Charli XCX & Rina Sawayama move up six places to #7 with the thrilling “Beg For You”, becoming Charli her first Top 10-hit since 2014’s Number 1-hit “Fancy”, while it marks Rina her very first Top 10-entry. Sigrid & Griff round out the Top 10 with “Head On Fire”, which is Sigrid’s seventh Top 10-hit and newcomer Griff her first.

Canadian teen singer Tate McRae scores the top debut of the week with “she’s all I wanna be”, entering at #26. The new rock-pop hit is a big departure from her previous Billie Eilish-inspired work such as “You Broke Me First”, which broke the Top 5 on this list and became a worldwide hit. Further down, Machine Gun Kelly and Willow Smith enter at #35 with their pop-rock collab “emo girl”, while Purple Disco Machine & Sophie and the Giants barely make it inside the Top 40 at #39.

Hi Link!
Nice to see "Better Days" finally at the top, as well as "Beg For You" and "Head On Fire" reaching the top 10 and the debuts for "She's All I Wanna Be" and "In The Dark".
Great chart!
