Antoon says hello to his third Number 1-hit as “Hallo” bumps Mimi Webb off the top

Ever since his breakthrough in late 2020, Antoon has been scoring back-to-back hits. His multi-platinum Number 1-hit “Hyperventilatie” quickly shot to Number 1 last year and his collab with Kris Kross Amsterdam “Vluchtstrook” drove to the same position earlier this year. Antoon now continues his streak as his newest single “Hallo” moves up to Number 1 this week, earning the Dutch rapper his third chart-topping song. The success is aided by incredible streaming numbers and his new EP of the same name. Antoon dethrones Mimi Webb, whom spent two consecutive weeks at Number 1 with “House of Fire”.

Canadian teen-pop singer Tate McRae moves into the Top 10 with “She’s All I Wanna Be”, the second single of her upcoming debut album, peaking at Number 9 this week. Tate McRae broke through in late 2020 with “You Broke Me First”, which blew up online and soared to the top of the international charts. Success continued with collaborations, most notably “You” [#20] with Regard and Troye Sivan. On this list, “She’s All I Wanna Be” is Tate her second Top 10-single, supported by increasing streaming figures and playlisting.

Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa score the top debut of the week with “Sweetest Pie”; easily the most exciting pop collab of this week. Rumours of a collab between the two singers have been going around online for some time ever since a fan remixed Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Fkn Around” to viral success. “Sweetest Pie” is supported by a thrilling music video and avid promotion from both artists. “Sweetest Pie” debuts at #14, earning Megan her sixth Top 40-hit and Dua Lipa her twenty-fifth.

Further down, Antoon his “Hotelschool” taken from his new EP Hallo debuts at #22. The song was met with viral success upon release and is already a hit on Dutch Spotify. Suzan & Freek bag their tenth Top 40-hit with “Honderd Keer”, a typical summer-sounding Suzan & Freek-song about love. Finally, Rex Orange County – fresh from releasing his new album Who Cares? – debuts at #38 with “Open a Window” featuring rapper Tyler the Creator.

Hey Link! I already expected Antoon to take over the first place. I didn't expect it to be such a big hit nationwide, by the way. I personally like "Hyperventilatie" better. That said, I see some cool entries for "Sweetest Pie" and of course "Hotelschool". Too bad "De Diepte" is already falling ;-) Have a nice week!
