Boyzone re-enters the Top 10 with All That I Need. The single previously peaked at Number 10 but dropped off a few weeks ago. The newest single marks the boys’ ninth Top 10-hit, a record not many other artists have managed to accomplish. All That I Need serves as the third single of the boys’ album “Where We Belong”, which previously spawned Baby Can I Hold You. This week, Boyzone their new single reaches a new peak at Number 9.
Des’ree scores the highest debut of the week. Des’ree is currently experiencing a comeback, as her newest single Life marks her first entry on this list since May 1995. She previously scored a big Top 10-hit with You Gotta Be, which ultimately received a Gold Certification and amassed over 40,000 points. Life is met with huge enthusiasm as the hit makes a spectacular at Number 18. Internationally, the Des’ree her newest single is met with commercial success as well.
1998 is becoming the year of Madonna. The American pop legend has scored two successful Top 10-hits this year, namely Frozen and Ray of Light which are both taken from her newest album. This week, Ray of Light receives a Gold Certification. The single peaked at Number 2, kept off the crown position by Robbie Williams with Let Me Entertain You. Savage Garden receive a Gold Certification for Truly, Madly, Deeply. The single became a huge international hit, topping the charts on the Billboard Hot 100. On this list, the ballad became a success as well. The hit peaked at Number 3, fighting off competition from the Spice Girls and LeAnn Rimes. As of this week, Savage Garden their single has amassed over 40,000 points.
