Marco Borsato and Trijntje Oosterhuis’s duet celebrates a fourth week at Number 1

Marco Borsato and Trijntje Oosterhuis remain at Number 1 for a fourth week. The song matches Marco Borsato his previous chart-topper’s run above the list, as Ik Leef Niet Meer Voor Jou also crowned the list for four consecutive weeks. The Dutch duo remain to receive competition from Guus Meeuwis & Vagant with Ik Tel Tot 3. The Backstreet Boys also pose a threat with their newest single Everybody (Backstreet's Back).

Dutch Eurodance group T-Spoon score their first Top 10-entry with Sex on the Beach. The act has already entered the list before with Someone Loves You Honey in July 1996. That song did only at Number 32 and flopped on the charts. Their newest single, however, is proving to be a hit as it conquers the globe. The last Dutch Eurodance group to enter the Top 10 was 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor with Fairy Tales in March 1996. T-Spoon and their raunchy Sex on the Beach peak at Number 7 this week.

Famous actors often turn into singers. The popular girl group Linda, Roos & Jessica consists of actresses and actor Antonie Kamerling scored a Number 1-hit this year under the name Hero. Will Smith seems to be the newest actor-turned-singer. Will Smith always had a legacy as a singer, as he started his career as the MC of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. The duo scored multiple hits on the Billboard 100. Solo, Will Smith has success as well. The American actor stars in the hit film ‘Men In Black’ and his first solo single of the same name is its lead single. The song is becoming a massive hit worldwide, reaching Number 1 in multiple countries. On this list, Will Smith peaks at Number 8 with Men In Black this week.

The Notorious B.I.G., Puff Daddy and Ma$e score the highest debut of the week. The Notorious B.I.G. was shot on March 9, 1997, leaving the world in tears. His death spawned a tribute single in the form of I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy. The song peaked at Number 1 on this list. Puff Daddy releases another tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. this week whilst using pre-recorderd material of the late rapper himself. No Money, No Problems peaks at Number 23 this week.
