Dutch newcomer Meau opens the new year at Number 1, as her hit single “Dat Heb Jij Gedaan” extends its reign atop the list for a fourth total week. Following her steady rise to critical success, Meau quickly took over the national charts, performing at various radio stations and becoming a streaming giant. This week, she released a new song with Dutch musical icon Paul de Munnik titled “Stap Maar In Bij Mij”, which is expected to impact my chart next week. Meau fights off competition from Kris Kross Amsterdam, who remain in second place, and Sam Fender, whom rebounds to third place.
Dutch singer Snelle moves into the Top 10 with “In M’n Bloed”, an ode to his family. It is his first Top 10-entry since his multi-platinum Number 1-hit “Blijven Slapen” with Maan last year. The song is supported by big streaming numbers and playlisting. “In M’n Bloed” is Snelle his sixth Top 10-single on my personal chart, following some big successes such as “Reünie” [#3], “De Overkant” [#4] and “Smoorverliefd” [#7].
Rounding out the Top 10 is “One Right Now” by Post Malone and The Weeknd, which moves up nine spaces. It marks Post Malone his first Top 10-hit since the gigantic hit “Circles”, which peaked at Number 1 in 2019 and became his biggest-scoring single to date. He is joined by The Weeknd, who scored some of last year’s biggest hits, such as “Save Your Tears” [#5], “Blinding Lights” [#1] and “You Right” [#6]. Together, Post Malone and The Weeknd keep Dutch student fraternity Turfy Gang and TikTok-hit Gayle outside the Top 10.
The top debut of the week is scored by Dutch singer-songwriter Flemming with “Zij Wil Mij”. 2021 was a big year for the Brabant-born singer; he produced the Sick Individuals’ Top 40-hit “Miss You” and then reached Number 2 with his own single “Amsterdam”. Such a big hit is a tough act to follow, but Flemming is off to a strong start with “Zij Wil Mij” – a fun song about a woman who is crazy for the singer – debuting at Number 21 this week.
At Number 27, English rapper ArrDee enters the chart with the electric “Flowers”. The single samples Sweet Female Attitude’s garage classic “Flowers” [#5] and Destiny’s Child Number 1-hit “Say My Name”. At Number 36, Shawn Mendes makes a return with the sweet “It’ll Be Okay”, a song perhaps about his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello. At Number 39, Disney makes a surprise entry with “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”; a song taken from their newest musical film Encanto. It is Disney’s first entry on this chart since Queen Elsa’s “Let It Go” made it to #34 in 2014.

Hey Link! How are you? Great to see MEAU for a fourth week at the top! I really like that song too! I also love to see In M'n Bloed and One Right Now climbing into the top 10; do you think they will remain there next week? I like the debuts of It'll Be Okay and Zij Wil Mij, amazing songs! Awesome chart!
Hey Link! :)
I'm loving the big jump for 'One Right Now' into the Top 10! Do you think it has a chance of getting much higher in the coming week?
Elsewhere, I like the massive climbers for: 'Smokin Out The Window', 'The Motto' & 'The Walls Are Way Too Thin'!
Awesome chart once again.
Have a nice week ahead!
