Olivia Rodrigo and SZA battle for Number 1, while The Weeknd soars to new heights following the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show

Olivia Rodrigo enters a fourth consecutive week at Number 1 with the acclaimed “drivers license”. Within the first month of its release, "drivers license" broke Spotify's record twice for most daily streams ever for a non-holiday song, culminating in over 335 million streams. On this list, Olivia Rodrigo her reign begins to weaken following multiple weeks of easy dominance. SZA is eyeing the Number 1-position with her hit “Good Days”, which reaches a new peak this week. “Good Days” now matches “All the Stars” as SZA’s highest peak to date. If SZA were to overtake Olivia Rodrigo next week, it would become SZA her first ever chart-topper.

The Weeknd jumps into the Top 10 with her newest single “Save Your Tears”. The song had already peaked at Number 14 in September last year, but re-entered the chart last month in anticipation of the Super Bowl Halftime Show which was headlined by The Weeknd. Following the performance last week, “Save Your Tears” experienced a massive growth in daily streams, resulting in a new peak at Number 10. The single is The Weeknd his ninth song to reach the Top 10, following hits such as “Starboy” and the chart-toppers “Love Me Harder” and “Blinding Lights”.

The highest new entry of the week is claimed by rapper Cardi B. The Bronx-born rapper has had a highly successful chart run last year, topping the charts with the shocking “WAP” for five non-consecutive weeks. The song, which featured the incredible Megan Thee Stallion, earned over 100,000 points and received 2 x Platinum status. Cardi B now returns with “Up”, her first solo single to chart since the 2018-hit “Money”. Cardi’s newest release is off to a great start, entering the list at Number 25.

Other new entries include “Ven Ven” by Rolf Sanchez. The Dutch-Dominican rapper already scored two Number 1s on this list: “Ai” featuring Tabitha and “Pa Olvidarte” featuring Emma Heesters. He also had a Top 10-hit with “Mas Mas Mas” last year. Rolf Sanchez now returns at Number 35 with another Latin-infused song. Closing the Top 40 is a new entry by newcomer Briton. The British DJ enters the chart with “Friday”, which remixes “Push the Feeling On” by the Nightcrawlers and features Mufasa & Hypeman on production.

Inspired by an article by The Official UK Chart on the highest-charting songs including words such as “ice” and “cold”, I have decided to put together a small list of my own. Only two icy songs have gone to Number 1 on this chart: Katy Perry’s first chart-topper “Hot N Cold” in 2008 and “Cold Water” by Major Lazer, Justin Bieber and MØ. American pop icon Madonna nearly topped the charts with “Frozen” back in 1998, but was ultimately blocked off by Céline Dion. Other notable chilly songs which reached the Top 10 include “Break the Ice” by Britney Spears and “Life Got Cold” by Girls Aloud. For all the chilly songs that reached the Top 10, see the list under the chart.

Hey Link! :)
I love seeing 'Drivers License' still at #1, as well as 'Save Your Tears' taking a massive jump into the Top 10.
I'm also really liking the debuts for 'Up' & 'Friday'!
Good chart as usual.
Have a nice weekend!

Hey Piran, thank you so much for the comment! “drivers license” is still going strong, although SZA is edging in on the crown. “Friday” is really growing on me, so it might rise next week! Have a great weekend :)

HEllo link100100! I like seeing drivers licence remain at #1 and good days reaching a new peak of #2! New peaks for wellerman and your love [9pm] are brilliant too. Very happy to see Friday debut at #40 and Up debuting at #25 is also good!! Have a good weekend

Hey George, thank you so much for the comment! “drivers license” is still going strong, but SZA could overtake her next week. Happy to see that you like “Wellerman” as well, it’s such a great dance song. Have a great weekend :)

Hey Link! Glad to see Olivia Rodrigo is still at #1 in your list as well! I really like the new peak for Save Your Tears and to see Levitating is going up again, still going strong :-) What do you think of her new song? Have a nice weekend!

Hey Davyl, thank you so much for the comment! “drivers license” keeps being my favourite, it’s just a great song! Dua Lipa her songs have rebounded because of the deluxe release of Future Nostalgia. I really like her new song “We’re Good”, it is actually a contender for next week’s Number 1. I hope it’ll do well on the international charts as well :) Have a great weekend!

I really have to adore this chart I'm happy to see certified songs Positions as platinum and Drivers license gold. I'm liking the endurance of Drivers license its starting to grow on me took a while .like the debut of Up very catchy chorus and very repetitive..& also debut of Friday.liking the rebound of Levitating. & Best friend. New peaks for New Love ,Don't play.
I really admire your chart. Looking forward to next week. Check out mine too

Hey Brandy, thank you so much for the comment! Happy to see you like the newly certified song as well. I’m happy you really like the top debut for “Up”, I’ll wonder if it is her next big hit. Dua Lipa also rebounds because of the deluxe release of Future Nostalgia! I’m a big fan of hers. I also left a comment on your list, another great one :) Have great weekend
