Aerosmith step into the Top 10 with I Don't Want To Miss A Thing. Aerosmith is a highly popular rock band from the United States and have scored big international hits since 1970. The group is seen as one of the most influential music acts of all time, having released million-selling albums and singles. The group now score a big hit single with I Don't Want To Miss A Thing from the “Armageddon”-soundtrack. Armageddon is a new popular film starring Bruce Willis, which is one of the highest-grossing films of 1998 so far. The single reaches a spectacular peak on this list, climbing to Number 7 this week. This marks Aerosmith their first Top 10-entry on this list since charting began in 1995.
Jamiroquai enters the Top 10 with Deeper Underground. The funk/acid jazz-group has peaked within the Top 10 two times before, namely with Virtual Insanity and Cosmic Girl. Their biggest hit to date remains Virtual Insanity, which peaked at Number 4 and amassed over 56,000 points. The group their new release Deeper Underground already became a hit in several European countries, finding the most success in the band's native United Kingdom, and becoming the group's first single to reach Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart. On this list, the single peaks at Number 10. This marks the group’s first entrance in the Top 10 since March 1997.

Des’ree receives a Gold Certification for Life. The single has been marked as a comeback single for the British singer, as this was her first big hit since 1995. The feel-good single climbed to Number 2, kept off the top by The Boy Is Mine by Brandy and Monica, and Because We Want To by Billie Piper. As of this week, the single has amassed over 40,000 points. Her best-scoring release to date remains You Gotta Be, which holds over 47,000 points.
