Stop right now, thank you very much! The Spice Girls climb to their eighth consecutive Number 1-hit with Stop. The newest single is the third release of their sophomore album “Spiceworld”, which also produced the chart-topping singles Spice Up Your Life and Too Much. Internationally, the Spice Girls’ Stop is another big commercial success as well. The single peaks within the Top 10 in most European countries, whilst it reached Number 2 in the United Kingdom.
2 Unlimited step into the Top 10 with Wanna Get Up. As of recent, the popular Dutch Eurodance group has a new formation. The group previously consisted of Ray Slijngaard and Anita Doth who made iconic hits such as No Limit and Ready For This. After the two vocalists had a strong disagreement with their management, the two were replaced by Romy van Ooijen and Marjon van Iwaarden so the management could still capitalize on the brand 2 Unlimited. The new line-up score their first Top 10-hit with Wanna Get Up. Counting previous singles with the original singers, this is 2 Unlimited their fourth Top 10-hit. The newest single peaks at Number 10 this week.
