Without any competition, Maan & Goldband take “Stiekem” into a third week at Number 1

Without any sign of slowing down or some major competition in sight, Dutch hit-machines Maan and Goldband take “Stiekem” into a third consecutive week at Number 1. The newest single is the love child of Maan and Goldband singer Karel Gerlach, who have started dating recently. The synth-heavy collab debuted atop my personal chart with over seventy combined streams, earning them the highest opening numbers of the year so far. On this week’s list, “Stiekem” has earned over fifty combined streams across all platforms. Maan and Goldband face competition from Taylor Swift, who comfortably stays in second place with “Anti-Hero”, while Dutch indi-pop darlings S10 and Froukje take their collaboration “Nooit Meer Spijt” to #3, earning both singers a new all-time career high.

Joel Corry continues his impressive streak of dance smashes, as his collaboration “Lionheart (Fearless)” with Tom Grennan climbs to #9 this week. Ever since his breakout “Sorry” [#11], the former Geordie Shore-star has been scoring back-to-back hits in the United Kingdom and Europe. His biggest hit, “Head & Heart” peaked at Number 1 for five consecutive weeks. On the new “Lionheart (Fearless)”, Corry is supported by Tom Grennan, who provides a fresh twist to Corry’s formulaic approach to EDM. Grennan previously scored a Top 3-song with “Little Bit of Love”, which was then followed by a string of minor Top 40-entries. Overall, Joel Corry collects his fifth Top 10-hit, while Tom Grennan earns his third.

Inside the Top 20, reigning pop king Harry Styles moves up two places with the fan favourite “Music For a Sushi Restaurant”, finishing at #12 this week. Only needing a small boost, the song could become Styles his tenth milestone Top 10-hit. SZA peaks at #14 with her newest single “Shirt”, which has been revealed to be the lead single of her highly anticipated second studio album S.O.S, scheduled to release in December. Tiësto & Tate McRae take their meet-up “10:35” to #15, while Steve Lacy rebounds with “Dark Red” to #17. Internet famous singer Oliver Tree rounds out the Top 20 with the remixed version of “Miss You” featuring Robin Schulz.

London-based DJ Fred Again scores the top debut of the week with “Stronger”, debuting at #23. He is supported by Romy Madley Croft from the indie band The xx, for which “Stronger” marks her second solo release to date. The song is a trance-inspired tune and deals with strong emotions, such as grief and acceptance. “Strong” made its debut earlier this year in Fred Again’s killer Boiler Room set in London. Fred Again previously scored a Top 40-hit with “Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing)”, but has enjoyed more success playing at festivals across Europe, including Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands.

Finally, Dutch newcomer Claude debuts at #36 with the multi-lingual hit “Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot)”. He first gained attention in the Netherlands after competing in the Voice Kids, where he covered Stromae his “Papaoutai”. His debut song “Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot)” is already off to a great start. Meanwhile, Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey makes her annual return to chart with “All I Want For Christmas”, possibly opening the floodgates for other Christmas songs. The now iconic Christmas classic was first released in 1994 and has peaked at #3 on my personal list in 1997. In total, “All I Want For Christmas” has chart over forty-seven non-consecutive weeks, making it one of the longest-charting songs ever. It has also acquired double-platinum status, marking Mariah Carey her best-scoring song to date. This year around, the festive tune re-enters the chart and begins its annual climb at #39.

Hi Link!
Nice to see "Lionheart" reaching the top 10, the debut for "Strong" and the return for "All I Want For Christmas Is You".
Great chart!
