The New Elusive Charts: Week 12

  • "bad guy" ties "COPYCAT" for the Billie Eilish song with most weeks at #1. Eilish also becomes the first artist to have two songs spend their first 2 weeks on the chart at the top of the chart.
  • Although its chart success is impressive, this week's #1 was almost beaten by a new entry: Rosalia's new song, the J Balvin & El Guincho collaboration, "Con Altura", which opens at #2 this week. It becomes Rosalia's first top 3 song and beats "Bagad" for her highest entry. She also ties Lizzo and Marina for most songs in the top 10 this week, with "Barefoot In The Park" re-entering at its #10 peak.
  • Speaking of the ex-and the Diamonds songstress, she earns her second top 3 entry as "Orange Trees" rises to #3 due to the (mini?) album bomb, and her second highest entry, as "Trees" fails to beat "Superstar" #2 peak. The singer also earns her third top 10 entry, with "Enjoy Your Life" opening at #6. The singer has other 4 new entries besides the aforementioned ones ("End of The Earth" - #15, "Handmade Heaven" - #17, "To Be Human" - #20, "True" - #27), making her the artist with most songs charting this week.
  • In other news, Lizzo finds success after being the most slept-on artist of the chart! Her legendary Missy Elliott collaboration, "Tempo", rises strongly this week to #4 (a new peak) and becomes Lizzo's second top 10 entry. Meanwhile, "Juice" falls to #8 after 3 weeks inside the top 5.
  • "break up with your girlfriend...", a song that has hit #1 so many times in the mid-week predictions, drops to #5 this week, failing once again to reach the top. However, it becomes Ariana's longest top 10 entry, despite never hitting #1.
  • Vampire Weekend earn their first entry on the chart, as "Harmony Hall" opens at #7. They represent the second band, in recent memory at least, to have their first entry on the chart inside the top 10.
  • Carly Rae Jepsen keeps on falling after 4 weeks in the top 3 and drops to #9. Her other chart entry, "No Drug Like Me", does even worse, dropping outside the top 30 to #33.
  • After weeks of struggle, Slayyyter's "Mine" reaches a new peak of #11, getting cockblocked once again from entering the top 10. Sabrina Carpenter finds her way out of the top 10 after only a week, with "Pushing 20" falling 4 spots. BLACKPINK earn their very first song to enter the chart as "Kill This Love" opens at a modest #21, a few spots below Zedd and Katy Perry's "365", which rises many spots to #16, and a few spots above John Mayer's first entry on the chart, "I Guess I Just Feel Like" at #38.
