Waffle's Current Favourites - Week of January 4, 2025

The fruitcake has been tossed out, and therefore, basically everything else rose up - though the biggest impacts came from the Wicked soundtrack songs, as not only did "Defying Gravity" by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande retake the #1 for the 2nd week overall, and skipping past "Juno" by Sabrina Carpenter rising back up to #2, we also have "What Is This Feeling?" making a big jump off the debut to #3. Griff's "last night's mascara" also reaches a new peak of #4 this week, and finally, "Taste" by Sabrina Carpenter re-enters the Top 5 at #5.

There are 3 debuts this week, with the highest being from Kendrick Lamar with "squabble up" debuting at #19. IVE returns to the chart again with "Supernova Love" featuring David Guetta at #22, and finally, we have "2 hands" by Tate McRae debuting at the very bottom. This chart is notable for having the biggest fall of all time - "A Nonsense Christmas" from #2 to #21, as well as the highest dropout of all time (not counting when remixes replaced the original version of a song) - "santa doesn't know you like i do" leaving from #3.
