Waffle's Current Favourites - Week of January 11, 2025

Looks like 2025 really is starting off with Wicked in full force, because the soundtrack takes up 4 of the Top 5 spots this week. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande's "Defying Gravity" holds at #1 for the 3rd overall week, with their other collab "What Is This Feeling?" right behind it at #2, and jumping up to #3, we have "Popular" by Ariana Grande joining in as well. The only non-soundtrack song in the Top 5 is Sabrina Carpenter's "Juno" down to #4, and finally, our last Wicked song is actually a Top 5 debut: "The Wizard And I" by Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh coming in at #5. Most of this will likely wind up sticking around too, so watch out for that.

The only other debut this week is...oh look, more Wicked! "I'm Not That Girl" by Cynthia Erivo debuts at #18, and it replaces former short-lived #1, "A Nonsense Christmas" by Sabrina Carpenter - hey, a #1 is still a #1, and it was never built to last beyond the holiday season anyway.
