The Biggest Songs Of The Week

Lana Del Rey enters straight at no.1 with her unexpected new single this week “Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd” knocking Dermot Kennedy down to no.4. SZA has a great week with multiple new entries from her new album including “Nobody Gets Me” which peaks at no.2. Even better news for SZA is that she obtains her first no.1 album on my chart with “SOS”.

Regarding the Xmas singles, there are many climbers and re-entries. The Pogues – “Fairytale of New York” continues to lead the way now climbing to no.10. Could it be a 3rd consecutive Xmas no.1 for them next week?

Longest chart runners:

  1. Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (28 consecutive weeks)
  2. Sam Fender – Getting Started (22 non consecutive weeks)

Next week being Xmas week usually is a quiet week of releases, however there still are some big releases and look out for new singles from The Weeknd, Tom Grennan, FLO and a collaboration between Rosalia & Cardi B.

Hi there Zack!
Nice to see the christmas songs still doing well, as well as the SZA takeover.
Great chart!

Hy buddy impressed with your taste alternative music speaks to your heart and mind the likes of Sam Fender  ,Lana I'm not suprised her entering atop the charts.  Sza blocked by her interesting that she could top the album charts.  Nobody gets me becomes your highest charting it should be serviced to radio in January probably .F2F ,Shirt all chart within the top 10 very interesting to see what happens next week with Christmas songs taking over. All i want for Christmas is you jumps into the top 20 huge gain though . I see conceited ,ghost machine this song is alternative  she worked with phoebe have worked with the chainsmokers before did you hear the album is a mix of pop r&b folk  f2f sounded rock. I rated this album 10/10 it's a skipless one .kate bush still in the chart wow 😀 ...  Kill Bill expected it higher but I'm happy its in the top 40 and far . Happy to see reentries of festive songs such as Rockin around the Christmas tree, from wizard too . Calm down still charting for you wow . Glad Last Christmas is already picking up for you.....

Hey mate. Yes, Lana was always going to chart well and I quite like the lyrics and her sultry vocals. SZA probably could have had her first no.1 otherwise, as I immediately liked "nobody gets me", before I realised its her next single. I was pleasantly surprised by SZA's and the variety on there. Yes, F2F sounds like somethings that would have been on Olivia Rodrigo or Avril Lavigne's album. I still think some songs are yet to grown on me. I was late to the game in listening to "kill bill", its growing on me. I wonder if Kate Bush will survive the Xmas takeover on the next chart, unsure yet, too close to call.
