Artists with more than 1 single in top 50 singles of 2020

The Weeknd/ Taylor Swift = 4

Ariana Grande/ Dermot Kennedy = 3

Alicia Keys/ Demi Lovato/ Dua Lipa/ Kygo/ Lady Gaga/ London Grammar/ Mabel/ Sam Fender/ The Killers = 2

No surprise to see The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" become the biggest song of 2020 despite being released in December 2019. It spent a whole year (52 consecutive weeks) in the top 40 and may even re-enter the chart too (look out for this weeks chart). He also had the 3rd biggest album of 2020 with "After Hours"Dua Lipa's "Physical" keeps with the 80's trend and was the second biggest song of 2020 while her album "Future Nostalgia" ended as the 5th biggest album of 2020. Dermot Kennedy capped off a fine 2020 with 3 songs in the top 50 chart of the year. His current Xmas no.1 single in the official Irish charts "Giants" ended as my 3rd biggest song of 2020 and still remains in the top 40 after 26 weeks counting. For me, he had the best album of 2020 with "Without Fear" by a mile (despite being released in 2019 - and if you have not checked it out yet, it is amazing!)

Sam Fender was another new artist who entered the scene in 2019 but gained my attention in 2020. His album "Hypersonic Missiles" was my second biggest album of 2020 and he also had 2 songs in the top 50 chart of the year, his album titled track ending up as the 6th biggest song of 2020. Taylor Swift also had a great 2020, and had her album "Folklore" been released early in 2020, it may have battled for the number 1 album of the year but ends up as the 4th biggest album of 2020 and still remains in the current top 10 album charts. Expect "Evermore" to be up there as one of the biggest albums of 2021 on my chart given it was just released over a fortnight ago. She also bags 4 songs in the top 50 (Only The Weeknd also achieved this feat) as is the only artist in the top 50 to have a song not designated as a single to break the top 50 end of year chart (This is me trying).

Hi Zack!
Really like all of your top 10 songs of the year!
And there are a lot of songs that I like and which were in my Year-End chart as well, like "Save Your Tears", "Caution", "Rain On Me", "No Time To Die" and "Hallucinate"!
Great chart!

Hey Sergej, thanks for the comment. Yeah we do share some common taste in music, particularly The Killers. London Grammar & The Weeknd. I also recall that you like OneRepublic just like me, although they didnt end up up having any big song in 2020 for me. I can't believe its almost 2021, although it feels like an extension to 2020 to be honest considering the current situation.

Hie Zack incredible year in terms of music. I.m not surprised to see The Weekend dominance of 2020 as well Dermot Kennedy as the biggest album I predicted correctly.
On the Singles I'm happy to see #2
&#3 I'm glad Dermot Kennedy had a great rotation on your playlist...Surprised Midnight sky charting so high but released late in comparison with other songs. I am happy Positions album and the titled song could sneak in two months before the end of year they could've been higher. I have really enjoyed the sound of Positions album without skipping..I'm happy to see the support you gave ALICIA considering how underrated the album. M happy The Weekend and Dua lipa in the top 5 of the album.....also Jojo made it that's supercool we have been good towards the album the both of us I mean jojo gave her all obviously the lack of promotion unlike Ariana and Taylor swift and the both have a huge following on social networks. Ellie Goulding Goulding sneaked in that's nice. Enjoy 2021 I will keep updating on my top 20.i wish we could chat on WhatsApp finding out how we doing in life even if you're antisocial who knows maybe we might encourage another

Hey..yeah I was a bit surprised Miley ened up so high too (was based on score totals) but in the end perhaps not surprising considering 20 weeks in chart, was also a slow climber to number 1 almost 3 months after its release and the 80s vibe grew on me. I was really looking forward to Ariana's album but and it has done well for me but something still not clicking well with her album. But Taylor's "evermore" is just something else to keep me occupied at the moment. Brandy unfortunately just missed out on top 20 albums of the year, it initialy peaked at no.2 on my album chart. I also didn't realise how well Jojo had done when I calculated my weekly totals. Alicia is going to do well this week for me as a new years eve small personal concert of her greatest hits was televised in the UK just prior to midnight so you may wonder why her tracks have charted on my next weeks chart.

When it comes to Ariana Grande Positions album I'm pretty addicted to that album it's f****ng awesome halfway into 2021 still be jamming to it
