FOR WEEK ENDING MAY 13, 2023
Undisputed #1 this week for FIFTY FIFTY, the second Korean pop band to reach the top on Rockmaker with "Cupid". While Taylor Swift ("Karma") and SZA ("Nobody Gets Me") leap into the highest region, after several decades a German-language song reaches the Top Ten: "Komet" by Udo Lindenberg & Apache 207. However, another German artist, Robin Schulz, debuts the second highest debut of the year at #20 with "Sweet Goodbye". | |

Hi there Rockmaker!
Nice to see a new #1 in "Cupid", as well as both "Karma" and especially "Komet" reaching the top 10, really happy that it got there, it's breaking record for german-language songs in Germany, staying at #1 for 13 weeks now!
I also like the big gains for "Can I Jump" and "Curtains", both great songs, as well as debuts for "Sweet Goodbye" (happy to see it in the top 20!) and the debut for "Never Felt So Alone".
Also now with Eurovision over and (SPOILER ALERT) Loreen winning the contest, can it possibly go for a new peak? You can expect many Eurovision songs on my next chart and "Tattoo" is almost cemented at #1 for my next chart, even though it's still not yet decided how my charts will shape up.
I also like the big gains down below for "Meltdown", "I Wrote A Song" (thanks to the live performance in the Eurovision Finals, it grew on me), "Substitution" (very happy for this, it is a good summer songs with wonderful production) and "I Found Her" (So happy seeing this gain on your chart).
As for your debuts, I like "Life Goes On" (Will have to listen to the version with Luke Combs), "Satellite" (Interesting choice for his next single) and "Left and Right" (Took long enough for this to chart here!).
Great chart overall!
I wish you a wonderful start into the new week.
By the way, I will be next week on Saturday in London for my birthday party, so I might be a bit late on commenting on charts next week, so I apologize in advance, if I won't comment right away. But I will do it when I have the time.

Hey Sergej! ;D
I think Rockmaker is one of the first to have "Cupid" as #1, as this song is still climbing on all international charts and could be one to talk about in the following weeks. I'm glad that "Komet" is still successful in Germany. I honestly didn't expect it to climb into the top ten so fast and the song is really good. I even checked with the translator that the lyrics have a good message. Maybe we'll have a new "99 Luftballoons" or "Der Komissar" in the chart.
"Sweet Goodbye" is a song that has been liked a lot, I hope that in a few weeks it could already be in contention for the top places.
Definitely "Tattoo" will have a jump next week, we'll see what happens.
"Substitution", "Meltdown", "I Found Her", "Life Goes On" and "Satellite" are very decent songs, I hope they will occupy better positions in the following weeks.
I send you my best wishes for your trip to London and your birthday celebration, I hope to be in touch for those days. Don't worry if your comments are delayed, it will be a chance for me to catch up.
Thank you very much for your comments and happy start of the Summer! :)
