These are basically my 40 favourite songs! Updated weekly. The rule is that each song has to have been in either the Official UK Top 40 or the Vodafone Big Top 40. Enjoy!
This week sees Camila Cabello get her tenth week at #1 with Never Be The Same, making it the outright third longest #1 of all time! The only two songs with longer stays are also hers, All In My Head (Flex) from her 5H days with 14 weeks and her MGK collab Bad Things, still going strong well over a year after release, with 15 weeks!
There isn't a great deal of movement in the top 10, except for Fine Line and Finesse reaching new peaks of #4 and #7 respectively. The only new entry to the region is Not3s & Mabel with My Lover at #10, their second collab in the region. The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar's Black Panther collab Pray For Me climbs a huge nine places to #11, and this week's highest debut is from Marshmello & Anne-Marie at #15 with Friends.
Kojo Funds & Raye climb to #22 with Check, and they are followed by this week's second debut: Mine by Bazzi, which has come out of nowhere this week but which I loved from first listen! This week's third debut is at #28, BlocBoy JB and Drake with Look Alive. And this week's final debut is at #39, and comes from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, Keala Settle's This Is Me. It's been hovering around just outside the top 40 for a few weeks, finally reaching the region this week mainly due to a lack of new entries available.
The lack of debuts, especially near the top, is becoming an issue at the moment, but with two outstanding tracks in The Middle & Capital Letters looking to have good chances of debuting in the coming weeks, that could be about to change!

Hey Piran, thanks for the comment! well, NBTS has a chance of surpassing the record if no top-quality new entries debut soon, as nothing currently in the chart can beat it right now!
oh and by the way, that is the version with Mabel. I decided a couple of weeks ago that it had got to the stage where if I change the version of the song charting it will have an effect on its performance on year-end charts, as it will split its run in two. so I use the performance of the Mabel version, which I prefer too, but keep the version charted the original basically to improve its year-end chances.
Pray For Me looks likely to enter the top 10 next week, keeping up The Weeknd's impressive record in that region. he doesn't have an 100% top 10 success rate as there were a few album tracks from Starboy which charted lower down, but all of his big singles over the years have done really well for me! Earned It was the first I ever heard of him and got #6, The Hills got #2, Cant Feel My Face got #8, Starboy got #9, I Feel It Coming got #8 and Sidewalks got #9 too! I think that's it. and this track looks likely to end up in a similar region to the last few mentioned!
well, of my debuts, Friends and Mine look likely to climb next week, and I'm not sure about the other two to be honest, but they should stick around for a bit. speak to you soon! :)
Hey Calum! I love seeing Camila hold the Top 2 again and for 'Never Be The Same' to become your 3rd longest #1 ever, only competing with Camila's own songs! The same actually happened for me last week but with 'She Loves Control', as that became my 2nd longest #1 ever with 4 consecutive weeks, only competing with 'Havana's 8 non-consecutive weeks!
I love seeing 'Fine Line' reach a new peak inside the Top 5, and seeing Mabel & Not3s' other collaboration, 'My Lover', reach the Top 10 is great as well. 'Pray For Me' being at #11 is amazing, and I really hope that it can reach Top 10 in the coming weeks!
I also really love the high debut for 'FRIENDS'! My rating of your debuts this week would be: 'FRIENDS' (89/100), 'Mine' (67/100), 'Look Alive' (63/100) and 'This Is Me' (44/100).
Great chart again, and my latest chart is up now if you could check that out when you have time. :D
Hey Gameskiller, thanks for the comment! well, since becoming solo, every charting song of Camila's has hit top 2 other than IKWYDLS which peaked at #7! Fine Line and My Lover probably wont climb any further, but both have done great and I think the two artist have great chemistry together! Pray For Me should hit top 10 next week, and Friends should climb too! i'll go and have a look at your chart now! :)
Hey Calum! As usual, I think this is an amazing chart. :)
I love that 'Never Be The Same' is still at #1 & that she now has all of your three longest #1s of all-time! Do you think it can pass 'Bad Things' to become the longest chart leader?
Elsewhere, I like seeing 'My Lover' reach the Top 10, although I prefer the version with Mabel. It's also cool that 'Pray For Me' is very close to entering the region!
Here's my rating of your debuts this week: 'Friends' (8/10), 'Mine' (7/10), 'Look Alive' (4/10) & 'This Is Me' (9/10), so a mostly positive week there too.
I hope you can check out my latest chart, which will be up in about an hour from now!
Have a good remainder of the weekend.
