Hey Gameskiller! :)
I'm glad you hear you like both the new #1 & #2 this week! The former had been close for a while & despite this probably being its only week at #1, at least it got there eventually.
Actually, the last time an artist got five songs in my Top 10 simultaneously was when Jess Glynne released 'Always In Between' back in October!
Yeah, it's cool that we have the same three favourite songs from 'Thank U, Next'! In terms of artists who got more than 11 songs on my chart at the same time, I know Taylor & Camila did, but I'd have to do a more detailed search to find others.
Regarding those non-Ariana songs you mentioned, I could see 'Swan Song' definitely hitting a new peak next week & potentially going on to peak in the Top 3, while 'White Lies' & 'Don't Call Me Up' should be on the rise next week too. I think the former could go Top 10 eventually, but the latter should almost definitely be there by next week!
Thanks for the comment again.
Thanks for the comment Naos! :)
I'm pleased that you like 'Who Do You Love?', since it was really close to #1 this week.
It's good that you enjoyed some of the Ariana tracks here, particularly 'Bloodline' & 'Ghostin'! How would you rate the album as a whole then?
That's fine, I wouldn't expect you to know too many of the debuts outside of the 'Thank U, Next' tracks!
See you on the BB200 article tonight hopefully.
Hello again mate!! I LOVE this chart! :D 'Dancing With a Stranger' finally breaks to #1, I definitely saw it coming. It's a song that keeps growing on me as well, Sam Smith is good as always, but I didn't realize how captivating Normani's voice actually is. 5H was definitely holding that. The harmony between her and Sam is definitely remarkable. I'm thrilled to see 'Who Do You Love' debuting as well. You've been on my charts the whole way so you know that I love The Chainsmokers! This song is as good as things they've released in the past, and I love how they can just collaborate with someone or have Drew singing. Ariana inside the Top 10 was expected, but I'm happy to see she's not that big on your chart. Good to see 'Sweet But Psycho' still strong inside the Top 10! Happy to see UK entry 'Bigger Than Us' debuting. Can it go #1 like Surie did last year? I didn't see 'Hello My Love' losing 11 spots, but I guess that at least half of it is because of Ariana's new album. Besides, I feel like the song is losing performance on my chart as well, I'm getting impatient to hear more of their new music! I'm even more dissappointed to see 'Giant' losing 16 spots as well, but the charts are very competitive right now! Last but not least, it's great to see 'Fuego' once more. Can it come closer to the top of the chart with Eurovision approaching? I love this chart and I'm eager to see what's next!
Hey RandomGuy! How have you been this weekend? :)
I'm pleased that you really love this chart as much as you do!
Haha, yeah, given everything I've said about 'Dancing With A Stranger' both on here & OCC, it was no surprise that it was eventually going to #1! I actually agree with a lot of your points about the song, particularly the chemistry between Sam & Normani.
It's also cool to know that you're a fan of 'Who Do You Love?' debuting straight in at #2, but that was also expected since I know how much you love The Chainsmokers! What are your thoughts on 5 Seconds Of Summer in general though?
'Sweet But Psycho' might be gone from the Top 10 for good in a week or two from now unfortunately, but don't worry, since it still maintains it's massive lead on my 2019 leaderboard & Ava Max might be debuting a new song on my chart next week anyway!
I think 'Hello My Love' could rebound a little bit next week as the Ariana tracks start to decline, but I don't see the same happening for 'Giant', at least not for very long.
Regarding those Eurovision songs, I don't think 'Bigger Than Us' will ever get to #1 unless the UK do way better in the final than expected, but it could go Top 10 eventually if the live performances for it are impressive enough. 'Fuego' could climb as we approach Eurovision, but I think more 2019 entries will flood the charts around Easter, so it'll have to battle against those, haha!
Thanks for the comment & I'll see you soon.
I've been great this weekend. The weather in Zagreb is getting nice, finally. The temperture was about 15 degrees for the weekend and it was so sunny! Nothing makes me feel as good as good weather. How have you been? I'm glad we agree about 'Dancing With a Stranger'! I like 5SoS, but I don't give their songs a lot of attention. I heard a lot of 'Youngblood' on VH1 TV channel and it's pretty good. Overall, I like the band. I might give them more attention because of 'Who Do You Love'! I'm sad that I haven't started uploading my charts earlier, because 'Sweet but Psycho' would probably get a better run on my chart as well. I'm very satisfied that it still dominantly leads your Year-End chart! Have you seen any news about new Westlife singles? I haven't, but I'm curious to see what does the rest of the album sound like. I feel you about 'Bigger Than Us'. While I consider it a good song, I have to say that UK took a casual approach to this year's entry as well, since a lot of your songs recently are made in similar way. It's unfortunate that UK doesn't have more competitive approach towards Eurovision, since you have the best and the largest music industry in Europe followed by France and Sweden.
That's good to hear! :)
Yeah, the weather has been really good here in Bristol too... funny to think that we were having heavy snow just a couple of weeks ago.
I'm fine thanks, just been very busy working on University assignments, but it'll be just my dissertation & three exams to go after this week. It's hard to think I'm nearly finished with my Maths degree already!
I haven't actually heard any news on Westlife's next single, but I'll let you know when I do.
Yeah, to be honest, I think the UK public aren't caring about Eurovision as much as they used to as we've already won six times & with the current political situation, many Brits believe we won't come close to repeating that. It's a bit of a shame really, but at least the youth are still showing an interest, so that gives me hope!
By the way, you should like my next chart a lot as some Ariana tracks will drop & a few of the Eurovision songs in my throwbacks this week could return to the Top 40.
Everything becomes better with nice weather! That's actually amazing, you just have little more to go :). I still have more than a year in high school, haha! I agree with everything you've said, but I don't have any doubts that a juggernaut music industry such as UK will win again! That sounds great and refreshing, especially considering that Gameskiller said that Ariana is here to stay on his chart :D. I hope that 'Euphoria', 'Only Teardrops' and 'Fairytale' will all be able to make it, those are some GOAT Eurovision songs, with 'Waterlooo' of course.
Hey Sergej! :)
I'm pleased that you liked Ariana's dominance this week, since some of her tracks might end up sticking around, especially 'Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored' & 'Bad Idea'.
I could see a very close three-way battle for #1 next week between: 'Don't Feel Like Crying', 'Dancing With A Stranger' & 'Who Do You Love?', since it's really hard to predict for now!
Thanks for the comment.
Hey Piran! I really like that 'Dancing With a Stranger' is your #1 this week, and the #2 debut for 'Who Do You Love' is cool as well. I absolutely love that Ariana manages to get 5 songs in your Top 10! I remember that 'reputation' and 'Camila' both managed to get 7 in your Top 10, but is this the highest since then? I also really love that your 3 favourites are the exact same as mine, and that 'thank u, next' is by far your highest climber this week with an 18 place climb! It's also great that Ariana manages to get 11 tracks on your chart this week, 10 of which are from 'thank u, next'! What other albums have managed to have so many tracks on the chart simultaneously? Moving away from Ariana, it's cool to see 'White Lies' debut at #22, and looking ahead to next week I like that 'Swan Song' is set to make a big climb, and love that 'Don't Call Me Up' is expected to reach the Top 10! Great chart again! :D
