Hey Conner! :)
'Lover' might actually get the strongest week of 2019 for any song in my chart next week! It's already only the third song that would get a 10/10 rating from me this year, after 'SOS' & 'Senorita' (both of these songs spent five weeks at #1 for me!).
I do agree that 'Torn' isn't as good as 'So Am I' nor 'Sweet But Psycho', but it's still a good follow-up!
'Higher Love' may come back to the Top 10 after all the hype for Taylor fades.
That said, I don't think the prediction about her taking up almost all of the Top 10 is going to change, haha. If anything, she might take up every spot in the region, which would make her only the second artist ever to do so after Sigrid!
I'll check out your new chart soon too.
Thanks for the comment & have a nice weekend!
Hey Piran! I'm pretty surprised to see 'Lover' at #1 since it was only at #6 in your predictions last week, but at the same time I'm not surprised at all given that it's Taylor Swift on your charts haha! It's cool to see 'Lost' climb to #2, and 'Higher Love' rebound into the Top 10. I also like seeing 'Torn' get such a high debut, especially since it was only released halfway through the week! It's also really good to see 'Post Malone' get a debut at #25, and the debuts for 'All The Time', 'Sorry' and 'Harder' are all good as well. Looking to the predictions, it's insane, though not entirely surprising, to see Taylor set to hold 9 out of the Top 10! That'd be the 2nd best ever on your charts, right, behind Sigrid's album? While Taylor obviously won't have anywhere near that kind of impact on my chart, she probably will have a bigger impact than I expected, since I'd give the album a strong 6/10 - light 7/10 on first listen. Still worse than 'reputation' for me, but significantly better than the average of the 4 pre-released tracks, which was a 45/100 for me, and without 'You Need To Calm Down' it was a 36/100. Anyway, great chart again! :D
Hey Gameskiller! :)
Yeah, 'Lover' is another song that I really underestimated after just one day, but it gained a lot over the week thanks to the reasons that I mentioned in my OCC review of it, then I think the release of the official video just tipped it ahead of 'Lost' at the final hurdle.
That said, 'Lost' won't be going anywhere anytime soon, since it might keep its Top 10 placing next week despite one of the biggest album bombs ever!
Regarding 'Torn', it probably would've got a Top 10 debut & maybe even the highest of the week if it was released on a Friday, but you never know, it could get there eventually.
As for next week, all of those other debuts you mentioned might end dropping out once again, but they should also have just as good a chance of returning the week after!
You're right about the 'Lover' album bomb currently set to be the second biggest ever so far according to my predictions, but given how much I've streamed it over the weekend, Taylor surpassing Sigrid to get another record might end up happening after all! Either way, I think all 18 album tracks are going to appearing somewhere in the chart.
At least you seemed to give the album a decent rating overall, despite not being a fan of the pre-released singles at all other than 'You Need To Calm Down'.
Thanks for the comment as usual. I'll take a look at yours a little later!
Hi Piran, hope you're doing well! :) It's no surprise to see 'Lover' at the top of your chart after seeing the review you gave it on the OCC. Your #2 track, "Lost", is pretty cool and actually has potential to debut over on my chart. I checked it out after seeing it enter here last week. Seeing 'Outnumbered' drop is quite a shock. I much prefer 'Power Over Me' to it. Your predictions are also looking quite interesting, can't wait to see the next chart!
Hey Ben! I'm alright thanks, how are you? :)
Haha, yeah, you just knew 'Lover' was going to debut at #1 here after I gave it a 10/10 rating on Friday. Including before I had Crown Note, this is Taylor's 16th #1 on my personal charts!
I'd love to see 'Lost' debut over on your own chart, even if it won't be getting higher for me.
'Outnumbered' dropping wasn't too surprising for me to be honest, since there was a lot more competition over the past week. 'Power Over Me' is also really good, but I personally don't enjoy it as much as the former of the two!
Haha, yeah, lots of Taylor coming up next week! I'd like to know your thoughts on the album if you've heard it yet?
Anyway, have an amazing week!
Hi Piran! I'm happy to see Waiting Game and Torn debut on your chart! While I don't think Waiting Game is nearly as good as Isac's earlier teen pop work, I am still enjoying it and I'm glad its in English and not Finnish. I'm also enjoying Torn, though I am surprised Ava Max's duet with AJ Mitchel "Slow Dance" never debuted on your chart. It's an amazing song and I think is exactly your style!
Hey MrOobling! :)
I honestly haven't heard too much of Isac's earlier music! In fact, the first song of his I really loved was his remix of 'Soldi' (a #1 in my chart from back in May).
For as cool as it is hearing him sing in English on 'Waiting Game', I wouldn't have minded him singing in Finnish at all. A lot of Finnish language acts do well on my chart, such as JVG & Sanni for example!
I think the reason 'Slow Dance' didn't debut is because I was more focused on 'Torn' & Taylor's new album this week, but it has a really solid chance at entering the charts as we head into September.
Thanks for the comment as usual!
Hey Sergej! :)
I'm glad you liked almost all of the debuts this week.
Regarding next week, well, it's no surprise what will happen really, haha. That said, if you enjoy the new #1 & the entirely of the bubbling under chart, then that indicates that you're really into Taylor's new album which is amazing!
Thanks for the comment.
Great chart Piran! Unsurprisingly my favourite part of your chart this week is the #1 debut for ‘Lover’, which seems to have grown on you considerably over the week seeing as it was lower in your early predictions! I’d love to hear your opinion on the album - it has already taken my chart by storm, and judging by your early predictions for next week seems set to do the same for you too!
Hey Sam! Thanks for the comment. :)
Yeah, 'Lover' did indeed grow on me a lot last week, but the insanely cute official video certainly helped it too.
Here's how my rating for the album looks like so far...
#1: 'I Forgot That You Existed' (7/10)
#2: 'Cruel Summer' (10/10)
#3: 'Lover' (10/10)
#4: 'The Man' (7/10)
#5: 'The Archer' (9/10)
#6: 'I Think He Knows' (8/10)
#7: 'Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince' (7/10)
#8: 'Paper Rings' (9/10)
#9: 'Cornelia Street' (9/10)
#10: 'Death By A Thousand Cuts' (6/10)
#11: 'London Boy' (9/10)
#12: 'Soon You’ll Get Better' [ft Dixie Chicks] (10/10)
#13: 'False God' (8/10)
#14: 'You Need To Calm Down' (7/10)
#15: 'Afterglow' (6/10)
#16: 'Me!' [ft Brendon Urie] (6/10)
#17: 'It’s Nice To Have A Friend' (7/10)
#18: 'Daylight' (10/10)
TOTAL: 145/180 (80.6%)
I'm more than happy for us to discuss individual songs if you wish!
Honestly, I've been streaming & playing 'Lover' so much this week, that it could even break the record for biggest album bomb ever, which Sigrid set earlier this year. So yeah, definitely stayed tuned for next week!
Wow Piran, I’m glad to see you loved the album so much! Has there been any album with as much 10/10s as this one? Hopefully with time your ratings for ‘Death By A Thousand Cuts’ and ‘Afterglow’ will increase. I’m curious to know how you’d rank all seven albums? I’ve discussed my thoughts on the album over on my own chart :)
Hey Naos! :)
Yeah, I know I had 'Lost' at #1 in my predictions, but it's still got a strong chance of being the highest charting non-Taylor song for me next week too! Besides, I bet you're almost equally as pleased with 'Lover' being at the top this week anyway.
Interestingly, 'Post Malone' might survive next week's album bomb, but I don't expect 'All The Time' will!
She will indeed! As you might've seen over on the Hot 100 article, she could potentially break Sigrid's record for the biggest album bomb of all-time.
Thanks for the comment!
Hey Piran! I don't mind seeing 'Lover' go to #1 this week, but it was certainly expected given that it's gotten a 10/10 rating from you. I am prepared for the Taylor Swift takeover next week and I'm definitely going to listen to the album today (I have a lot to listen to today!). Elsewhere, I absolutely adore seeing 'Post Malone' make a debut as it's currently battling Ariana Grande for my favourite song of 2019. The re-entry for 'bad guy' is awesome to see, it's cool to see Ava Max get another spot in your chart, but I don't like seeing 'Harder' enter your chart. However, the climb for 'Higher Love' is brilliant. Great chart again! ;)
Hey Coolocelot! How you doing? :)
Haha, yeah, if a song gets a 10/10 review over on OCC, there's a very good chance it'll debut at #1 here!
Hopefully you liked the album! For me, I'd even go as far to say that it's her best one since 'Fearless'.
Despite Taylor's album bomb next week, all of the songs you mentioned except 'Harder' & 'Bad Guy' stick around, while Ava Max might manage to debut another song!
Sorry for the late reply, but I'll comment on your new chart now.

Hey Piran. First of let me just say how happy I am to see "Lover" at Number 1 this week, along with "The Archer" at Number 4. It is a bit of shame that "Dance Monkey" has dropped out this week as it seems to be increasing popularity slowly every week in the public eye. I have only heard one of your New Entries inside the Top 20 (Not 40) which would be Ava Max "Torn" which to be honest isn't bad but I just feel there is something missing compared to "Sweet But Psycho" and "So Am I" , perhaps I just have to give it a bit of time. Also really happy to Kygo, Whitney climbing even further up the chart, into the Top 10.
As for next week, I can't wait to see how all the Taylor Swift album songs chart, I know you said that most of the top 10 will be filled with Taylor Swift on early prediction, but alot can change in 7 days :) I will also reply to your Official Chart post later tonight or tomorow.
I also uploaded a new chart if you want to view or comment :) Have a great Weekend!
