This is an unofficial chart, compiled by me, highlighting the 10 biggest tracks in Bulgaria right now. Due to the lack of an official Bulgarian singles chart, apart from an airplay only one, this is the closest thing we can get to a true representation of the musical landscape in the country. The data is based on Spotify/Apple Music streams, YouTube views, and airplay data, all coming from official sources.
Highlights of the week:
- In one of the closest battles for the top, "Dance Monkey" by Tones and I manages to just edge out the competition and claim a fifth consecutive week at the top - this in large due to its consistently excellent airplay data.
- This means The Weeknd has to settle with rounding off the rest of the top 3 - his two brand new entries, "Heartless" and "Blinding Lights" enter at #2 and #3, respectively - becoming his second and third top 3 hits since "Lost in the Fire" with Gesaffelstein spent a week at the top back in January.
- Further down, Travis Scott rebounds 5-4 with 'HIGHEST IN THE ROOM', while DARA falls 3-5 with her newest offering 'Ella Ella'. Billie Eilish also drops two spots, going 4-6 with 'everything i wanted'.
- A brand new entry at #7, Bulgarian singer Galena returns after the huge success of her summer hit 'Паника' (Panic), this time in collaboration with Fiki for 'Ламборгини' (Lamborghini)
- Last week's #2, Malkata and Denis Teofikov drop 2-8 with 'Полудяваш' (You're going crazy), and Dua Lipa falls 6-9 with 'Don't Start Now'.
- Rounding off the top 10 is viral hit 'Roxanne' from Arizona Zervas, which experiences a small increase in performance, despite that it falls 9-10.
- Outside the top 10, two notable dropouts this week: 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X and 'bad guy' by Billie Eilish drop out of the top 40 after 35 consecutive weeks for both tracks - the former falls 38-41 and the latter falls 39-48.

Hey Piran! I'm glad you're enjoying this chart - it is a real shame indeed that Bulgaria doesn't have an official chart, which is why I started this, and I feel like it fills the gap to some extent! "Dance Monkey" is spending a 5th week at the top - it doesn't actually seem as big of a hit here as it does elsewhere, it's only really big on radio and so far, it's only spent a single week on top of audio-streams solely. It was actually heavily challenged by The Weeknd's two new songs, I've noticed big hip-hop/R&B releases like these fare far better over here than in the UK/sometimes even the US! Other than that, 'everything i wanted' also had a great #2 debut, but seems to be falling pretty fast now, same with 'Don't Start Now', which peaked at #4, but 'Roxanne' definitely doesn't seem to be that big here, as thus far, it's only peaked at #9, and fell to #10 this week. This is actually a really good idea! It's a shame that Bulgaria don't have an official chart, but they might one day, we'll see.
As for this, like almost everywhere else in the world, it's nice seeing 'Dance Monkey' at #1, even if I'm getting a bit tired of it now, haha!
The Weeknd had a very impressive week with both of his new songs debuting in the Top 3, while I also love: 'Everything I Wanted', 'Don't Start Now' & 'Roxanne' all here too.
I'll try to check this out as often as I can!
