Chart

After a close battle with Little Mix, Jaap Reesema and Pommelien Thijs claim a fourth consecutive week at Number 1 with “Nu Wij Niet Meer Praten”

“Nu Wij Niet Meer Praten” by Dutch singer Jaap Reesema and Belgian actress-singer Pommelien Thijs enters a fourth consecutive week at Number 1, aided by strong streaming numbers on Spotify. The duet, however, nearly lost the crown position to Little Mix and their UK chart-topper “Sweet Melody”. This week, the girls’ song remains at Number 2 for a fourth non-consecutive week. If Little Mix were to overtake the Number 1-position next week, it would become the eleventh chart-topper for the British girl band.

Australian newcomer The Kid LAROI enters the Top 10 this week with the viral hit “Without You”. Over the last few weeks, the song has experienced major success on TikTok. The Kid LAROI his career took off globally with the release of “Go” featuring the late Juice WRLD and he even debuted within the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Hate On The Other Side”. Since then, The Kid LAROI his success has been on as steady rise and his mixtape F*CK LOVE (Savage) was met with high praise. On this list, the seventeen-year-old rapper earns his first Top 10-record with “Without You”, as the viral hit peaks at #10 this week.

Within the Top 40, Jason Derulo aims for the Top 10 with “Savage Love” 2.0, titled “Love Not War”. The single peaks at Number 11 this week. Ed Sheeran follows behind him with the soulful “Afterglow” and is one of the few unmoving songs this week. Acclaimed singer SZA aims for the Top 10 as well with “Good Days”, as the song jumps fourteen places up to the fourteenth position. The single is aided by growing international success and big streaming numbers. Other notable rising singles include “Goosebumps” by newcomer HVME and “Anyone” by Canadian star Justin Bieber.

Newcomer Olivia Rodrigo scores the highest new entry of the week with her debut single “drivers license”. An impressive feat, since the American actress and singer has not entered the Top 40 before. Olivia Rodrigo made a name for herself when she appeared on the Disney+-show “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, in which she claimed the lead role. Rodrigo was quickly signed to Interscope Records with “drivers license” as her proper debut release. Within the first week of its release, "drivers license" broke Spotify's record twice for most daily streams ever for a non-holiday song, culminating in almost 67 million streams. Olivia Rodrigo now makes her entrance on this list at Number 15, aided by growing streaming numbers.

Other new debuts of the week include “Best Friend” by newcomer Saweetie and chart-topper Doja Cat. The single is aided by its popular music video which stars the two rappers jumping off of a cliff into the ocean. Doja Cat is no stranger to success on the charts, as she has topped the charts with “Say So”. Saweetie and Doja debut at #28 this week. International reggaeton-rapper Bad Bunny enters the chart with “DÁKITI” at #34. The new single follows the success of “UN DÍA” featuring Dua Lipa. Closing the Top 40 is ZAYN with his newest release “Vibez” taken from his upcoming new album. The ex-One Directioner scored a string of Top 10-hits, including a Number 1 with “Pillowtalk”, but his latest releases have severely underperformed.

Hey Link! :)
I absolutely love seeing 'Without You' jump into the Top 10, along with 'Drivers License' as the highest new entry of the week.
'Best Friend' & 'Dakiti' are both growing on me too, although I haven't heard 'Vibez' yet!
Good chart as usual.

Hey Piran, thank you so much! I absolutely love “drivers license”. It is such a beautiful song and so strong for a first effort. I hope Olivia Rodrigo debuts at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, although it lacks proper airplay there. On my list, “drivers license” is in for a big jump next week, maybe even #1. “Vibez” is surprisingly good, not special or anything, but fine. “Dakiti” is amazing, definitely one of my favourite Spanish songs of the new year, absolute bop. Thanks for the comment, enjoy your weekend :)

Hey Link! What a great chart. I absolutely love the debut for Olivia Rodrigo. I hope she will manage it to #1! Very happy to see the gains for The Kid LAROI and SZA and a little disappointed by Bieber's lag ;-)

Hey Davyl, thank you so much! Olivia Rodrigo is definitely an early contender for the Number 1-position the upcoming week, although Little Mix could take the crown as well. It will be a very close race. “Good Days” by SZA could even reach the Top 10 next week, it is such an amazing song. I’m still a bit uncertain whether I like “Anyone”, it’s fine but I don’t like it as much as his previous songs. It could reach the Top 20 though! Have a great week :)

Hey Link! I'm loving the climbs for 'Without You', 'Anyone' and 'Get Out My Head' and the Top 20 debut for 'Drivers License'! It's also nice to see 'Sweet Melody' so close to getting their 11th No. 1. Hope they can do it in the next chart! Great chart! :)

Hey Rector, thanks for the comment! “Without You” and “Anyone” are both looking at a big gain tomorrow, maybe even a Top 20-position. For Number 1, it is going to be a close battle between Olivia Rodrigo and Little Mix. It all depends on my Spotify right now, we’ll see!
