Australian duo Shouse enters a second week at Number 1, keeping Sam Fender from overtaking the top spot

Aided by big streaming numbers and playlisting, “Love Tonight” by Shouse stays at Number 1 for a second consecutive week. The electronic duo their hit is further supported by great remixes with David Guetta and Oliver Huntemann. A new remix with Robin Schulz was released earlier this week. Shouse their reign is not secure though, as English singer-songwriter Sam Fender his song “Seventeen Going Under” climbs to Number 2. His success is boosted by an incredible live performance at Reading and Leeds Festivals. If Sam Fender were to dethrone Shouse next week, the Newcastle-born talent could earn his third Number 1-hit on this chart.

After winning the sixth season of The Voice of Holland, Dutch singer Maan has been a mainstay on the national charts. Just this year, she scored her fourth Number 1-hit with “Blijven Slapen” alongside Snelle and she collaborated with Dutch musical icons Acda en de Munnik. Her solo work proves to be just as successful, as her new single “Niks Is Heilig” peaks at Number 8 this week. The song is her thirteenth Top 10-hit, extending Maan her record as the Dutch female act with the most Top 10-hits. The song is supported by strong playlisting and growing streaming numbers.

Doja Cat is another artist who seems to be scoring back-to-back hits ever since her breakthrough with “Say So” in 2019. Earlier this year, the American singer earned viral success with “Streets” on TikTok and she scored her second Number 1-hit with “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA. This week, the unofficial single “Woman” becomes the third song off Planet Her to peak within the Top 10, as the opening track moves seven places to Number 10. The feminist-anthem is strongly supported by viral success on TikTok and growing streaming numbers.

The highest debut of the week is earned by lyrical genius and style icon Charli XCX with her newest single “Good Ones”. The English-born singer has contributed to many great hits before, such as Shawn Mendes his “Señorita” and Selena Gomez with “Same Old Love”, but she sadly has had only minor chart success herself. In 2014, peaked atop the list with the triple-platinum “Fancy” alongside Iggy Azalea, but she has failed to reach the Top 10 again since then. Charli XCX, however, is a singer with longevity as she has been charting since 2012 and has been making a comeback recently. Her new single “Out Out” with Joel Corry and Jax Jones is steadily climbing the charts, nearly breaking the Top 20 and “Good Ones” debuts at Number 16 this week, making it her highest-opening week of all time.

British girl group Little Mix debut at Number 27 with their promotional single “Love (Sweet Love)”, which precedes their first greatest hits album Between Us. Puerto Rican singer Farruko debuts at Number 33 with “Pepas”, a Tribal guarachero and reggaeton-infused song. The single is currently becoming a hit in The Netherlands, while it has already topped the Billboard Latin Songs chart. At Number 39, English singer-songwriter Tom Grennan enters with “Don’t Break the Heart” taken from the deluxe version of his sophomore album Evering Road. The single is Tom Grennan his third Top 40-entry, following the Top 10-hits “Little Bit of Love” [#3] and “By Your Side” [#6].

With the temperatures in the Netherlands rising to summer-like levels, it seems only fitting to count down the highest-peaking songs with ‘hot’ in its title. Seventeen ‘hot’ songs managed to enter the Top 40, of which two peaked at Number 1: Nelly his 2002-classic ‘Hot in Herre’ and Katy Perry her 2008-hit ‘Hot N Cold’. The most recent Top 40-singles with the word ‘hot’ are Blackbear his “Hot Girl Bummer” [#28] and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer” [#37], both from 2019. Some other notable entries include Dua Lipa her Top 3-hit “Hotter Than Hell” and Inna her 2009-summer hit “Hot”. The late Sarah Harding is also remembered for her ‘hot’ hit “Long Hot Summer” with Girls Aloud, who has passed away this week aged 39 following her battle with breast cancer. My thoughts are with her family, her friends and her bandmates.

Wow this week is insane .I love that Good ones is your highest debut that's a banger. Sadly Cardi B features have left the chart which is your favorite though?
Im really hyping for the top 10 movements can we expect traitor as another Olivia Rodrigo number 1 .im happy to see the gains for Cold Heart, Brutal, Out Out with former slowly growing on me im sure it will have more impact by the time the album comes out. Like the new peaks for Skate and Woman I'm glad African Beats are having international recognition which lately Essence is having excellent impact we have songs like Loved By You by Justin Bieber, Fountains by Drake on his latest album im glad Afrobeat are making a difference to be honest Doja cat album is excellent it could be one of the best streamed after Olivia SOUR. How is your Weekend
