THREE WEEKS IN A ROW! What is this sorcery that inspires me to continue doing chart notes? Oh, right, the same sorcery that has me posting my chart every week for two months. Crownnote, I'm on to you...

- New #1! And it's exactly what you expect it to be, as Ghost takes over with "Square Hammer". "My Name Is Human" lurks right behind it, however, at #2, and a long #1 battle looms...
- Meanwhile, Kings of Leon enter the top five with "Waste a Moment", and it's just extremely unlucky to have been released right now, because it has virtually no chance of getting to #1 thanks to the two-headed behemoth up top. C'est la vie...
- Metallica is getting ready to do something extremely rare on the Red 50. "Hardwired" remains a staple in the top five, and should still be by the time "Moth Into Flame" inevitably reaches the top five itself. It would be the first time two songs by the same artist have been in the top five since Korn accomplished the fear with "Love and Meth" and "Spike In My Veins" on the first countdown of 2014. So yeah, something ridiculous is about to happen.
- The biggest jump this week belongs to AFI, whose "Snow Cats" gains nine spots to #32 after an impressive debut showing. The concurrent AFI single, "White Offerings", also moved up five spots to #43.
- Only two debuts this week? I guess the "three debuts a week" streak was bound to end at some point. Adele is back with "Water Under the Bridge" at #47, but the big debut this week is the return of Dropkick Murphys, as "Blood" debuts inside the top 40 at #39. There's a distinct chance this song (that blatantly pays homage to Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire") could flame out quickly, but if it doesn't, this will contend for #1 at some point.
- Speaking of #1 contenders, a couple may be growing just outside the top ten. K.Flay continues to bullet toward the top ten with 'Blood in the Cut", The Weeknd's "Starboy" is one spot ahead at #12, and "Red Flag" by The Moth & The Flame is close to the top 15. Oh, and perennial #1 contenders The Dillinger Escape Plan just entered the top twenty this week...
