Since I lost my job, I am concentrating fully on my life, that means music and these charts are now less important for me, I will still do them, but they will be all over the place in the next months ahead. So if anyone comments on why some songs are gaining big or dropping very low, I have/haven't listen to most songs during the weeks ahead and also my personal life/searching for a new job is more important now.
Highlights:
- Leony finally gains up to get her first solo #1 with "Simple Life", in total it's her second #1 (after "Waking Up" with Felix Jaehn).
- This makes Annalisa and Benjamin Ingrosso slide down one place with their hits "Sinceramente" at #2 and "Kite" at #3.
- Marcapasos rises up to #4 with "Cosby Sweater" becoming his first top 5 hit and for Hilltop Hoods it's their second top 5 hit.
- The Last Dinner Party get their first top 10 hit with their current smash single "Nothing Matters", rising from #12 to #6.
- Another band getting their first top 10 hit are Everything Everything with their current single "The End Of The Contender", jumping from #11 to #7.
- The highest debut this week comes from Rachel Chinouriri with "Never Need Me" at #69.
- Other debuts this week come from Ariana Grande, Jan Delay, Glockenbach & Chris De Sarandy and LEA.

Hi Alex!
Glad that you like most of the songs on here.
As for the debuts (outside of Ariana), "Never Need Me" debuted because I discovered it on the BBC Radio 1 playlist (UK Radio Staiton), "Welt" is a recently new german song that got released and for "Siehst Du Das Genau So?" and "Magic Moment", you are right, it was the german radio stations that gave it a push for me.
Thank you for your comment and take care.
Ahoy, Sergej!
I absolutely love 'Simple Life' at #1. It looks so good there! I first saw the track here last week and enjoyed it to the extent that it debuted for me too this week. Big climbs are likely ahead too!
Relatively few new entries, I only know the Ariana one so there's some homework there. I love to see the new peaks for 'Vai', 'The Alibi', 'Monster', 'Make You Mine', and 'Lighter'.
Great stuff as always!
Ahoy, Maxon!
Glad that you love my new #1, well deserved for her.
Wishing you lots of luck with the new entries, hope you can make homework with it! Also glad that you love the new peaks for "Vai", "The Alibi", "Monster", "Make You Mine" and "Lighter".
Thank you for your comment and take care.
Hi Sergej!
I like to see Leony’s second #1 even though "Simple Life" needs to grow more in me. I would still like to see "Kite" at the top. I hope to see the song of Ingrosso in some international chart to be able to enter my chart, it is a beautiful song.
I love seeing "Nothing Matters" on your Top Ten, I look forward to the same thing happening on my chart. And while "Texas" is reluctant to leave the Top Ten, it’s good to see "The End Of The Contender" there too, it’s a very decent song.
Interesting the flight of "Vai!" and the song of The Kolors of San Remo. Important advances for "Gasoline", "Midnight Lover", "The Alibi" and the resurrection of "Run Away Girl", "Alibi", "Stumblin' In", "Bitter Sweet Love" and "Deep in Your Love". The new peaks of "Kissing Strangers", "Lighter", "Miss Me Too", "Run for The Hills", "Doctor", "Saturn" and my favorite "Scared To Start".
"End of Beginning" was paralyzed at #68, hopefully it can react and reach the Top 40 soon. Big loss in the week for "Love On", "Selfish", "Lovers in a Past Life", "The Door", "Turn The Lights Back On", "Mwaki" (good that it has reached the Top Ten!) and "Last of Us". I hope some or all of them can react in time.
Of the few debuts this week I love "Never Need Me" and "Magic Moment". I also like the beat of "Siehst Du Das Genau So?" although I don’t understand what they sing and "Welt" sounds very sweet.
All these weeks entering Crownnote is a challenge, always comes the notice "Gateway time-out", I hope that soon will be solved. Despite all this, SPC is a great chart as always, refreshing and innovative!
Have a great new week!
Hi Rockmaker!
I really do hope "Simple Life" will grow more on you, it is a fantastic song! "Kite" already has been great on Italian Radios, obviously it's doing great in Sweden and recently Germany and Czech Republic have picked up airplay for it too.
"Nothing Matters" is continuing it's success on SPC, could even challenge for #1 in the next weeks. "Texas Hold 'Em" could gain too, "The End Of The Contender" needs to push more, aside from the new album.
"Vai!", "Un Ragazzo Una Ragazza", "Gasoline" and "The Alibi" are set to continue their climb, while most of the other songs will either continue to climb or slip a bit, we'll see how it goes.
"End Of Beginning" will react soon and reach the top 40, if it'll climb further, as for the songs that fell this week, some or most will rebound, "Selfish" will climb thanks to Justin's new album and "The Door" hasn't yet peaked (as it's impact date for airplay on my radio pickups will be starting next week).
Glad that you like the debuts for "Never Need Me" and "Magic Moment".
Now a bit of context for the german debuts, firstly, "Siehst Du Das Genau So?" is actually a cover song, originally made by the german pop-rock group Sportfreunde Stiller in 2004, 20 years later, a reggae-like version of the song is made by Jan Delay, which like the original makes the chart, we'll see if it'll make the top 40 like the original, 20 years ago. The lyrical context of it, if you translate it, deals about feelings and real life situations, the lyric that really hits me personally is "If it was up to me, we should look up to the sky more often again, for sometimes we are really lacking tranquility and confidence. It's about the small things even if they cease to be quickly. It's good to see people laughing."
And "Welt" handles with emotion and love and support for the people, who are the most important for us, mainly friends and family. In moments, where we think too much about grey clouds and dark times, we need someone who holds us dear and support us even in the deepest blues.
So, I hope that clears out the understanding of these two songs for you.
Yeah, the "Gateway time-out" is frustrating, everytime I wanted to look at my or other charts, this message pops out, hoping it will be sorted out soon.
Very happy that you like my chart as usual. Next week looks to have more debuts on the way, so stay tuned!
Have a great new week as well and take care!
