Congratulations to Ciara who enters straight in at number 1 with the very catchy single “Rooted”. She has had multiple top 10 hits on my chart in recent years, but it’s her first number 1 since “1 2 Step” in 2005 and “Lose Control”, her collaboration with Missy Elliott also in 2005. 15 years later she is back at number 1. In my opinion, Ciara is very underrated today and perhaps the best dancer in the music industry (with Tinashe & Normani close behind). She even danced in this video whilst heavily pregnant!

You may remember Kiesza’s number 1 hit in 2014 – Hideaway, well she hasn’t really impacted my chart since then until now with the brilliant catchy tune “Crave”. If you like Carly Rae Jepsen style 80s pop, you will love “Crave” which enters straight in at number 5.

Despite only having been released yesterday, London Grammar enters the chart at no.40 with “Baby it’s you”. I’m a huge fan of this group, and they are strong contenders for number 1 next week. Taylor Swift holds onto the number 1 album spot for a 4th consecutive week.

Bubbling under the chart:

Drake ft Lil Durk – Laugh now cry later

Potential new entries next week:

Clean Bandit & Mabel ft. 24kGoldn – Tick Tock (definite top 10. Dark horse for no.1?)

Mariah Carey & Lauryn Hill – Save the day (interested to hear this old song get a release)

Carly Rae Jepsen – Me and the boys in the band

Iggy Azalea & Tinashe – Dance like nobody’s watching

Katy Perry – what makes a woman

Arlissa – The house we live in (very underrated artist)

Headie One ft Stormy & AJ Tracey – Ain’t it different

Madison Beer - Baby

Bazzi – Crazy

Pharrell ft Jay Z

New albums:

The Killers have the big album release with “Imploding the Mirage”. Considering they have already had 4 top 40 hits on my chart this year  including a number 1 hit, they could take the title off Taylor Swift as the number 1 album next week...Expect some album tracks to enter the top 40 too.

Interesting to see Rooted atop catchy song it's good to see Ciara still putting out some music though pregnant!
I see some good new entries like
Levitating remix very vibrant and chilled songs I can't wait for the club album I'm sure particularly Physical for you I see it's still going strong. I'm sure it will make end year charts top 3!
I like seeing Midnight Sky top 10 debut i like how disco it sounds looks like Dua Lipa impacted The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus going to the 80s I find that interesting.
I was expecting So Done in the top 10 though it missed by the edge what I liked about this one its the complementary of their voices and how Alicia Keys remaining true to her rnb roots though rnb has been taken over by pop .Intersting haha Head and Heart finally got stuck to your head due to its radio overplayed. I fell in love with it from the beginning!
Sad Brandy drops! I guess many people were expecting the same old haha but I was happy it was the most added song on rnb stations in America which will be getting heavy rotations and on my playlist haha.
Interesting aboutLondon Grammer will have to listen to the song I know them from The song they featured on Flume.
to new song I'm impressed with Iggy & Tinashe though I have to give it another listen. Excited to hear Clean Bandit missed them!
I will give you updates on Two Artists is it my turn or its next week right?
Good chart!

As soon as I heard "Rooted", i loved it, plus the video with dance choreography. Do you remember "dose"? That choreography with that video was brilliant. Yeah, the remix album for Dua Lipa is out next Friday. It will be interesting to hear the "Physical" remix with Gwen Stefani, I wonder if the music will be the same or totally different. Physical may clim higher in 2 weeks. Defo be one of the biggest songs of the year for me. All the artists are realising about releasing 80s style, going through a phase at the moment. Alicia/Khalid, started the week at no.8 but eventually just missed out. Its still good but I think it needed a bit more "umph", perhaps the instrumental may have been better. Yea, eventually "Head & Heart" has entered but i still dont really like it that much. Its a bit like the way i disliked "Savage Love" lol. London Grammar are one of my faves, especially their first 2 albums. You might have heard of "Strong" and "Nightcall" cover? Amazing lead vocals. The Clean Bandit song is catchy. It features Mabel who can do no wrong at the moment. Two artists will be for next week. Take a break matey, listen to classics.
