Dutch rapper Antoon steadily remains at Number 1 for a second week with “Hyperventilatie”

Antoon enters a second consecutive week at Number 1 with his national hit “Hyperventilatie”, keeping Olivia Rodrigo from reclaiming the top spot again. The Dutch rapper his success has been growing, as his debut album De Nacht Is Van Ons is this week’s most-streamed album. His position at Number 1 is not secure though, as Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa and Mabel all came dangerously close to occupying the crown this week. As it stands, Rodrigo’s “good 4 u” finishes in second, Lipa’s “Love Again” only nearly falls back to Number 3 and Mabel is - unfortunately - kept at Number 4.

Doja Cat and The Weeknd rise into the Top 10 with “You Right”, their collaboration taken from Doja’s sophomore album Planet Her, ultimately peaking at Number 7. Both artists are no strangers to success; Doja Cat has become a staple on the charts since her breakout Number 1-hit “Say So” and The Weeknd was one of the highest-scoring artists of last year. “You Right” is the second single from Planet Her to peak inside the Top 10, as it was preceded by the chart-topping “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA.

Ed Sheeran enters the Top 10 with his newest dance-pop single “Bad Habits”, peaking at Number 9 this week. The Suffolk-born singer is one of the biggest recording artists of all time and has scored twenty-nine Top 40-hits on this chart, of which fourteen have peaked inside the Top 10. Some of his more recent efforts have failed to match the insane success of his earlier entries, such as the Number 1s “Thinking Out Loud” and “Castle On The Hill”, but his newest song is certainly proving to become a big success once more. For the Top 10 highest-scoring Ed Sheeran songs on my chart, click here.

The highest debut of the week is scored by Sam Fender with his newest song “Seventeen Going Under”, the lead single of his upcoming sophomore album of the same name. The Geordie-born singer first rose to prominence with his debut EP Dead Boys in late 2018 and he later won the Critics’ Choice Award at the 2019 BRITs. More and bigger chart success followed with his Top 40-debut “Play God” [#15] and the Number 1-hit “Hypersonic Missiles”. His new song is off to a great start already, as the anthemic hit “Seventeen Going Under” debuts at Number 14 this week.

At Number 20, Australian rapper The Kid LAROI and Canada-born singer Justin Bieber enter with their newest collaboration “Stay”. The song is already a big hit on streaming services such as Spotify, where the song has amassed over 30 million streams within only one week. At Number 27, Dutch couple-singers Suzan & Freek enter with the upbeat “Onderweg Naar Later”, the follow-up to their platinum-hit “Goud”. At Number 38, American singer Ava Max debuts with her new single “EveryTime I Cry”, which the singer named a "continuation" of her debut studio album Heaven & Hell.

To celebrate the release of Sam Fender’s "Seventeen Going Under", the lead single of his second album of the same name, I have decided to take a closer look at his chart history. The Geordie singer made his chart debut in January 2019 with “Play God”, which became a sleeper hit and ultimately peaked at #15. Bigger success followed with “Hypersonic Missiles”, the fifth single from his debut studio album of the same name. The single shot to Number 1 within three weeks and was certified double-platinum. Half a year later, The BRIT Award-winner scored his second Number 1-hit with the standalone single “All Is On My Side”. In total, Sam Fender has scored six Top 40-hits, of which all peaked inside the Top 20. For an overview of his biggest-scoring songs on this chart, check the Top 10 below.

Hey Link! I was wondering if the Spice Girls might make it to your list, but I guess you're not impressed by their latest release :-) I really like the entry for Sam Fender. What a great song again! And ofcourse your top 3 is absolutely perfect. Have a nice week!

Im impressed to see the longevity of good 4 u still contending for the top spot. I like the steadiness of By your side, let them know, Heartbreak anthem. I like the new debuts Stay, everytime i cry .
As for the gains i like seeing Montero rebound.like the new peaks for You Right and Bad Habits.
