The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

Kate Bush continues to defy the odds by extending her run at no.1 to 11 consecutive weeks with “Running up that hill”. This week however was the tightest race at the top where The Weekend narrowly lost out to the top spot with “Best Friends”, climbing up to no.2 following the release of the remix with Summer Walker.

Taylor Swift’s chances of getting no.1 with “Carolina” may have ended after a run of 4 separate weeks at no.2, all being held off by Kate Bush.

The highest new entry this week is from First Aid Kit with the beautiful track “Out of my Head” entering at no.5. They still also enjoy chart success with their first ever hit single “My Silver Lining” which re-entered recently following its use in the Netflix series “Umbrella Academy”.

Beyonce remains at no.1 on the album charts with “Renaissance” for a 3rd week in a row holding off competition from Alicia Keys who re-enters the album chart at no.2 following the deluxe release of “Keys II”.

Longest chart runners:

  1. Sam Fender – 17 going under (58 consecutive weeks)
  2. Tate McRae – She’s all I wanna be (28 consecutive weeks)
  3. Latto – Big Energy remix (18 consecutive weeks)
  4. Dermot Kennedy – Something to Someone (15 consecutive weeks)

Next week, it’s another slow week for releases but look out for new singles from Maisie Peters, Demi Lovato, Zedd & Maren Morris and Grace Davies.

On the album front, look out for Madonna releasing a remix album with 50 (is that a record?) of her previous hits aswell as new albums/LPs from Aitch, the greatest hits from Steps and a new album from Demi Lovato but with a shift to punk-pop.

Hie . JESUS!!! Interesting to see 11 weeks for Running Up That seems to be on heavy rotation on your playlist wow congratulations bro.

The Weekend boosted by the remix interesting to see if next week will end the reign of Kate Bush. Break My Soul maintaining in the top 5 and loved seeing Alien Superstar moves into the top 10 great gain what is that about the song supporting LGBTQ or the fact that its a club banger her album is very good it's really maintaining on streaming around the world i see it hasn't slipped on apple music albums chart #1.

Wait for u slip slowly i like its maintaining on the chart .

I see History and I Ain't worried maintain their Positions this week wonder how they perform next week.

Oh no New To You slides heavily but l like that you felt it though not way I am feeling it of course Normani is the reason lol

Like seeing 2be loved returns because of the video I haven't watched it though kkk

Like the lowly debut of nicki Minaj it's a great song the sample is very good.  Sadly to see Dreamer exits the chart probably it will reenter after the album is released.

Alicia Keys with lucky Daye on a song i have to listen to it love the guy on the album  i didn't know Alicia dropped a deluxe anyways i never much listened to her last album ALICIA was better this one umm but the one with lucky Daye will listen to it definitely....

You've had 18 weeks the top I think I for "wide side" so 11 weeks doesnt come close! ;-) . Who would have thought a the start of this year that an 80s track will re-enter and dominate my chart all because of a netflix show! No idea what "Alien Superstar" is about but I love thats it catchy and the part of the song with the lyrics "I'm too classy for this world...Forever I'm that girl..." is the bit that I like.

In a way, "wait 4 u" is holding steady on streams so is stil very popular and could still climb. OneRepublics "i aint worried" has been a surprise hit and slow gainer for me. "History" is pretty sure going to be a top 10 UK hit for them and its growing on me. I prefer "2 be loved" by Lizzo more than "Its about damn time". Im sure it will climb as it just re-entred this week when I found out about the video. Nicki Minaj's song remind me of the way she released "anaconda". I liked her pink barbie days. I didnt expect you to say that you were sad to see "dreamer" fall considering hes a big fave of mine , but yes, he may well re-enter at some point.

I agree regarding Alicia, her older albums were better. She has not released any radio friendly tracks for many years. "Stay" with lucky Daye is growing on me. You will like Lucky's part in it. This is why our charts are interesting as you find out about songs/albums that you didnt know were released and vice versa. I may not have known about several songs without checking your chart

Hi there Zack!
Glad to see Kate Bush at the top, the big Olivia Newton John gains, the return for "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" and the debut for "Super Freaky Girl".
Great chart!
