Effervescence - June 27th, 2024

Welcome along to Effervescence!

AHOY!

Can you believe this week marks halfway through another year here on Effervescence!? Watch out for the Effervescence Top 75 of the year so far charts dropping this week!

Upcoming Chart Announcements:

  • On Saturday, June 29th, I'll be releasing a snapshot of where we stand in Effervescence for 2024 Crownnote points so far
  • On Sunday, June 30th, It'll be 2024 so far on my Stats FM, which allegedly collates all my Spotify listening data, though I do call shenanigans from time to time
  • Next week's Effervescence will feature some 'American Classics' for American Independence Day!
  • The following week (July 11th) will feature our next full takeover. To celebrate 'International Day of Rock 'n' Roll' (July 13th). We're having a Top 75 chart rundown of my picks from the veteran genre across the years. It's gonna make a wonderful playlist!
  • The above means that July 18th is a complete reset for what's current.

Cultural Points of Interest:

  • The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, or 'Euro 2024' in Germany, is ongoing until the final on Sunday, July 14th
  • It's American Independence Day on Thursday, July 4th
  • It's International Rock 'n' Roll Day on Saturday, July 13th
  • Parookaville ('PV' ) The electronic dance music festival, takes place between July 17th and July 21st at Weeze Airport in Germany.

So Fresh So Clean [Record of the Week]:

Beddy Rays – “Hold On

Part of a budding alternative/rock scene ongoing in Australia right now, the Beddy Rays are carving out a spot for themselves, and their new track 'Hold On', following suit with the rest of their back catalog, brings heartfelt lyrics, huge hooks, mosh-worthy riffs, and a lingering sense of camaraderie and good vibes which is absolutely perfect for this time of year!

['So Fresh So Clean' is a featured brand new song released on the Friday after last week's Effervescence chart. Sometimes it's a big release, sometimes it's AN offbeat random selection. The track will not necessarily debut in the effervescence chart rundown]

Notable Playlists

Effervescence (My Top 75)

All 75 tracks listed from #75 to #1. This is a rotating playlist that updates every week. The playlist is locked from Thursday until Sunday - GUARANTEED. Updates can start as early as Monday. This is the best way of peaking for an entire 'first look' at next week's countdown. Positions are not locked in until Thursdays.

Euro 2024 Season

I enjoy a football anthem or two during these big international tournaments. This summer it's The European Championships and the Copa America, so, I have cobbled together the best of this year's efforts and some of yesteryear's bona fide classics. Ample cheese and all, enjoy!

Summer Season 2024

The perfect accompaniment to your work day or commute is designed to provide a great soundtrack without worrying about constant repeating songs. The playlist is stacked with great summer music from old and new, from well-known community staples to crackling unheard gems in multiple genres. You're never far from something you know, or something you don't and they're all great for this time of year! The playlist is relevant from Sunday, May 12th, 2024 to Saturday, August 31st, 2024. This contains my Summer Scorchers playlist which is included every year plus anything specifically from this year.

Summer & Euro Season is a cheeky blend of the above two playlists, you know, so things don't get too football-centric but are still included in your summer vibes.

Great to see Happier carry on climbing as well as Zeros!!! Also great to see Espresso and Under the sun stay at the same spot! And the debut for girl$!

Good Chart!

Have a nice Weekend!!

Ahoy, Cheese!

Look at you all bright and early this week! 'Happier' is having a run unlike any track prior. As the sunny days continue, it's sounding better and better, and thus, its chart performance continues reaching new peaks with every passing week. Officially a Top 40 for me now! We have a couple of big distractions in the next couple of weeks so it will be difficult to keep a consecutive run going. We shall see.

'Zeros' is beginning to get hooked in much like 'Prada' before it. Can it even be half as successful?

'Espresso' isn't going anywhere. a 2024 Summer staple for sure and I cannot see it falling from the upper reaches of the chart until summer passes.

'Under The Sun' will likely drop out of the chart next week, but it does seem to be gaining some momentum in the mainstream so I wouldn't rule out a return down the road. I feel Switch Disco's other track this year 'Sleep Tonight' is superior. What do I know though? It probably has something to do with the star power of Ella Henderson.

Thank you for stopping by and dropping the comment. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Maxon! :)

Glad to see 'Please Please Please' in the runner-up position & 'Hot To Go!' break into the Top 10.

Good chart!

Hi there Maxon!

Nice to see "Fair" at the top, "Please Please Please" and "Fire" completing a good top 3, the big gains for "Zeros" and "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" and the debuts for "Heartbreaker", "feelslikeimfallinginlove", "City Lights" and "Only Way Is Up".

Great chart!
Take care.

Ahoy, Sergej!

'Fair' - Where is the mainstream love for this?!? Apparently, it's mostly just me. I'm pleased you're a fan of the top 3 this week though. We have a couple of Maxon Tremor weeks coming up next so things are going to get chaotic, to say the least. American Independence Day, International Rock & Roll WeekEuro 2024, and Copa America tournaments both coming to a close as well as being in the midst of the hottest sector of the Summer season! there's just no predicting what the heck to expect next each week on Effervescence!

One thing is for sure though, we'll just keep on bopping all summer long!!

🕺💃

Thank you for the comment. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
