Rossi & Jazzy and Blackpink charge towards Number 1

Rossi & Jazzy join the race for Number 1 with their summer-infused “High On Me” up at #3. It marks Jazzy her second Top 3-hit following her breakthrough “Giving Me” from 2023. Also speeding ahead is South-Korean girl group Blackpink with “Jump” at #4. Both are, however, bested by Sam Fender & Olivia Dean, who hold at Number 1 for a seventh consecutive week with “Rein Me In”. It continues to be the longest-running Number 1-single of 2025 yet. The song was originally included on Fender his third album People Watching, which spawned two Number 1-songs; the title track and “Little Bit Closer”. Sam Fender and Olivia Dean first debuted their duet live on June 6, 2025, during Sam Fender his headline show at London Stadium, where Olivia Dean was one of two supporting acts during the show. “Rein Me In” marks Sam Fender his seventh chart-topper on this list, tying the North Shields-born singer with Justin Timberlake as the male artist with the second most #1s of all time. Meanwhile, Olivia Dean earned her first Number 1-record. Profiting off “Rein Me In” its success, Olivia Dean also finally moves into the Top 10 this week with her solo song “Nice to Each Other”, marking Dean her second Top 10-hit on my chart.

American pop diva Chappell Roan earns the highest debut of this week with “The Subway”, ahead her headlining slot at Lowlands festival in the Netherlands. Chappell Roan has enjoyed an enormously successful breakout last year, when “Good Luck, Babe!” shot to Number 1 out of the blue. Her back catalogue quickly flooded my personal Top 40, with “Hot To Go!” and “Pink Pony Club” reaching the Top 3 years after its release dates. “Pink Pony Club” recently reached double platinum status and was the best-scoring song of 2025 until Pommelien Thijs’s “Atlas” overtook that title two weeks ago. “The Giver” was ushered as Chappell Roan her first new release since “Good Luck, Babe!” earlier this year, subsequently earning another stellar Top 10-debut. On the follow-up “The Subway”, Chappell Roan takes inspiration from The Carpenters and echoes Karen Carpenter’s dreamy vocals. "The Subway" has been performed live since 2024, though Roan had been hesitant to release a single version, feeling that the track worked better live. “The Subway” starts off its journey on the charts at #16, earning the Midwest Princess her seventh Top 40-hit.

Sombr, actually New York-born rising singer-songwriter Shane Boose, earns the only other new entry this week with “12 to 12” at #33. In March 2025, his songs "Back to Friends" and "Undressed" gained popularity after going viral on TikTok, resulting in his big mainstream breakthrough. He was recently included on the important 21 Under 21-list by Billboard, a list that predicts the biggest up-and-comers. “Undressed” reached #8 on here, and with “12 to 12” its groovy bassline and video clip featuring none other than Addison Rae, it could be possible this new follow-up performs even better.
